| You think so ?
In the meantime we release BJB to join Hull and have to recruit again next year. No continuity.
I don't have a problem with a loan deal,per se,but not if that's the reason
EDIT I'm referring to joining another club, not checking out the wives

| Decent signing.
Loan deal probably suits all. We don't have to stump-up a considerable fee, Cas gets shut of a problem. Carney has a good season/settles it may give us an option to buy at the end of next season. If he doesn't settle or plays awful he moves on or goes back to Cas.
Nobody loses out really.
It gives all parties 12 months to see where everyone's at.

| Cracking signing, I'd put him outside Sa'u, surely the most powerful and direct centre/winger combination in SL next season.
Evalds, BJB/MCB, Griffin, Sa'u, Carney is one hell of a decent starting back line.
If BJB stays we then have a decent enough back up in MCB, after that though for me we look a little threadbare.
If indeed Hull are after BJB I'd like to see the club try and get Jamie Shaul as part of the deal and/or possibly Richard Whiting, both would add depth and in Shauls case you have a very talented youngster.

| Put him outside Sau are you mad he'll go from a try / game ratio to a 1 in 3 if he's lucky, just ask Johnson outside a decent centre he could potentially be up there in the SL top 5 try scorers.

Sau seems to get some stick about this, but if you look at the stats on the SL site (Barring this season gone) since he arrived there's only Chase provided more assists. I'd hazard a guess that our inability to get it wide when required last season (on both sides) contributed to both centres having poorer than required assist stats for 2015.

| Forgot about Johnson.
Evalds, Johnson, Griffin, Sa'u, Carney.
I don't buy this guff about Sa'u, he is a blocking busting centre who makes space for his winger, pretty sure you'd see more from Sa'u inside Carney as Carney likewise would create space for him.

| Suppose if you look at 2014 stats then as you say he was second with 8 assists behind Rangis 25.
The team was poor and maybe it was Harris's tactics of using both centres as battering rams, but it's still not good for a top class centre.
But If we're comparing stats then look at Shentons for the same period 17 assists with Carney outside him scoring 17 try's make of that what you will as stats don't always paint a true reflection.
For some reason Salfords 2015 stats on the SL website are not up to date and missing quite a few of the squad, all the other teams seem to be?

Make sure you click on the little bit that shows you how many results are being shown. It defaults to less than the full squad for some reason.
I take your point, but you also have to take into account that Cas were a better side than us in 2015, finished much higher, with more tries and wins. You'd expect to see their centres and wingers with better stats. Fwiw I agree that we need to get our wingers involved in the game more. I don't think that the newly formed nucleus of our side will play anything like we did this season. Tactics wise that is. The last few seasons have all been about Chase, and when he didn't play our team forgot how to play without him. It's why Fages couldn't do anything. It's why Lee couldn't do anything. Harris had his game plan and didn't really provide much else for when it went wrong.
With Sheens and Watson having a full pre-season, and the core of our side changing, I can see us trying to play a more expansive game than before. With more structure. I personally think you'll see our centres and wingers scoring much more next season.

| Cheers for that I've seen it now he got 6 this year, as you say it may have been down to the tactics being played but I'll reserve judgement until after this season to see how we play and how effective we are at utilising Carneys fantastic talent.

You're right in that it's not enough. It's just not enough for either centre, and I think Sau comes in for unwarranted criticism sometimes when the other centre is equally not providing. I really think it is more a tactics thing, but I'm quite happy to be proven otherwise.

| I would agree with you there maybe Griffin doesn't come in for as much criticism due to the amount of points he individually scores so people tend to over look it.
At times this year and last it looked like we were just using the centres as props out wide.
I just would have liked to see us get a more talented centre than what we have, it shown against Cats away when Paterson played centre what can be achieved the winger saw more ball that game than he did for the rest of the season.

| I didn't go to HKR, so allowing for that, I did see a different team attitude from Sau at Widnes and at thh last home game. There were rumours of he being given a bit of a warning/talking to at the time.
