| Quote TheButcher="TheButcher"JGR, while I agree with your conclusion it does seem to be at odds with your post about Iain Blease.
In this thread you say that the Club shouldn't employ anyone who isn't professionally qualified or without the necessary experience. Yet on the Blease thread you think it's great that the Club has employed someone without any qualifications or experience as a CEO. Just wondering about that.
I'm not having a go btw, just an observation.'"
Quote TheButcher="TheButcher"The interesting point here is that we've also just employed a new CEO who has passion, the Club's best interests, and no experience or qualifications for his post yet you don't seem to be pointing that out.'"
Not strictly true. Granted whilst Bleasey hasn't held the position of CEO at another Super League club previously, I think his experience of 14+ years playing RL, coupled with his MSc in Management Practice and his experience of dealing with the administrative aspect of the game as an agent over the last few years equips him with sufficient ability to undertake the position and do so to a high standard. Credentials wise he is certainly a major improvement on anything we have had over the past 15+ years.

| Quote Angelic Cynic="Angelic Cynic"Whatever paper qualifications are required for the position given to Louise there ain't nobody at any club who has the enthusiasm and devotion to their club as she has for Salford Red Devils.'"
I'm sorry but this really p*sses me off.
I am sure even Louise herself wouldn't claim to be the most enthusiastic and devoted supporter, how do you even measure such a thing? Games attended? How many tweets you make? How many graphics you make for players? Louise is no different from us all here and the 2,000 or so die hards that turned up for the last few months of the season.

"We've" made a few appointments and the good Dr. has decided to mix expertise and passion. Suddenly, in reacting to Mr M, we're jumping around and maybe getting shirty.
The proof of any pudding is in the eating: proof is an old English word meaning "test". We have a team, a club and a future ... something I was not believing we had at 16:28 exactly one month ago.
So let's ignore the M and reflect we seem to have a club that has passionate employees. That is well on the way to meeting the test.
Oh, to state "none of the appointments are perfect" re. N Roberts shows a similar acumen as Trump at a gay Pride march. M's destroyed his argument in one phrase. End of his bluster.
See you at Rochdale.

| For what it's worth, I understand why it looks odd I've picked this appointment out but given the others were being readily discussed and this one (as I've said, the most bizarre of the lot) wasn't I thought it was going to require me to again put my ahead above the crowd to raise the subject.
I think I probably also raised it because the shambles of how it has come about stinks of buying someoens silence and money talking yet again. As I've said, she seems a lovely person but she has been a vocal critic of the way Koukash has run the club for over two years (hence this original thread) and has exchanged insults with him on many occasions. Suddenly, after one month of not criticising "The Good Doctor" and getting into his good books she land s a job with him and they are best friends?
The way Koukash is hasnt changed, nor even the way he uses social media or runs the club. Why the sudden change of heart? Principles/morales have been sacrificed for the sake of the job.
I believe Louise to be a lovely person who has a heart of gold, but I think we can all see from mile off that this will end in tears, unfortunately.

I have to agree JGR I have no beef with the person in question (didn't even know anything about it) but there's loads of fans who are totally committed to Salford who don't seek any publicity or a pat on the back.

| The Original Forever Reds model could easily be utililised to help market the club. Back when it was created there was a good spread of fanatical support and experience that helped us raise over £50k when the club needed it most.
We gained a lot of experience through those years, and I still use some of those experiences now.
As a group of supporters we managed to get on TV, Radio and in newspapers... as well as sell out individual events which were attended by supporters and celebs alike.
Even then, the criticism that was thrown our way was ridiculous. I've still no idea why people criticised at that time. The club needed fans to help and we did. Yet many thought we had ulterior motives. Most of the people involved in FR never had any other motive that doing something to help the club they loved.
As Forever Reds moved on, I had to move on too... and I left with a fairly sour taste in my mouth, many reasons of which don't need to be aired on here.
Personally I put in many many hours. I literally never had time for myself. Work would finish and FR work would start. This went on for months.
That said... there isn't any reason why that couldn't work again. It's simply a case of getting a good mix of dedicated people with a broad range of experience and knowledge... no hidden agenda... no secrets... just hard dedication.
I have often thought about starting something back up again as I do feel like the club perhaps need this.

| I admire the bravery of someone willing to back up their words with action. A documented history of expressing who's useless and who's stealing a living must be a pretty useful motivator to succeed.

| Embarrassing appointment by the club, she'll end up putting the clubs name through the dirt. Seen a post on twitter about Marwan being badly advised, couldn't agree more. Hopefully she'all be found out by the power that be to be professionally inept and clearly a fraud.

I was a member of FR but not really active, I for one believe the supporters need a voice & certainly believe in the good work that used to be carried out by those involved. I would support this type of supporters initiative.
Am I right that FR was disbanded when MK arrived at the club, was it perceived MK had lots of money & FR would not be needed to raise future funds to support the club.

| Fully admit I'm not in anyway a fan of Louise, to me she comes across as an attention seeker, it doesn't help that people blow smoke up her backside. But I'm trying to get over that to support the club. anything is worth a try.

Nonsense!! Aren't you aware that the person who makes the most Twitter/Facebook/Instagram etc posts gets the title "Top Red"?!
Nothing against this Louise woman but didn't she used to post on the Turkey and had a massive rant about not getting a job previously? If I'm talking about the same person she certainly seemed to polarise opinions amongst fans! Having one loose cannon in the club is dangerous but 2 may be asking for trouble!
If I'm getting her mixed up with someone else then I apologise and like I said it's nothing personal at all.

A group like Forever Reds could always be used for more than simply funding the club. The manpower can be used to actively market the club within a given budget... which is provided by the club. To self fund this sort of thing means raising money... which the takes up the valuable time that is needed to do the job that they are brought in to do. Events take a lot of organising... I know because of the amount of work I personally did to organise events.
As for whether the FR are disbanded... You may be best asking those who took it over.
