Absolutely spot on City bought into Hyde United at a time they were on the verge of the Conference League.
They changed the club colours from red to blue they then changed their name to Hyde FC dropping United.
Then when the City Academy came on stream they walked away leaving Hyde now in the Northern Premier league.

The stadia opposite the Etihad is nothing to do with City, it's the 'Manchester Regional Area', part of Sport City.

The only issue with moving there is does it have any office space or hospitality, I'm not sure if does.
So ok it's a playing venue but where would we use as our "base"?

If we are really to break free from the AJ and stay in Salford, the only real option I see is to go into a joint venture with Swinton at Agectoft if it ever gets built.
Providing Swinton want to after all their ground work and the council would let us after leaving the AJ.

There's also FC United's ground in Moston where the Manchester Red Devil brand would be welcomed. Salford has gone now, the only way Salford could build from the ground and upwards is to share Swinton's future stadia, however, until that becomes available We're in street and in the same boat as our neighbours. Who'd of thought it eh, after witnessing our closest neighbours struggle due to selling of their home and ridicule their support and club, and yet how ironic this could be that Salford could well end up negotiating with a begging bowl about joining a new corporate ventured stadium.
