Why would anyone from gods county feel the need to go to bury? There's plenty of far more interesting towns over this side of the Pennines! When I do feel the inclination to don my waterproof and head over the hills, Manchester tends to grab my attention rather than Oldham, burnley, widnes or any of the other "charming" towns you have over there.
Try coming to Harrogate or York if you feel the new for a culture fix

You mean like such charming towns as Featherstone and South Elmsall?

York, famous for being invaded by Scandinavians and Harrogate, famous for, erm? Fair enough, I should visit Harrogate. I'm sure I'll feel culturally enriched.

he didn't.
as the Peel Group website explains (see www.peel.co.uk/aboutus/history-and-vision). the name is taken from Peel Mills, the Bury based business he took on some time ago that was owned historically by the family of Robert Peel.
anyway, enough of the history lesson.

| I think I've read somewhere lately that John Wilkinson has a 5 year plan to take us Reds to the next level ( Eddie Hemings also mentioned it in commentary today too).
So realistically speaking does he really want to sell up or does he solely want an investor just to throw money at his baby.....
A five year plan eh......Another whopping pork pie to blag the socks of the superleague franchise system.... Hilarious

Eddie actually referred to a 3 year plan in commentary. I, myself was staggered when I heard this, as I could not comprehend how even the brainpower and acumen we have at Salford could have shaved 2 years off, what will be a clearly a well thought out plan since yesterday. It was obvious to me early that the plan would have covered all possible angles, and have built in multiple contingences to cover things like imminent bankruptcy down to a granular level such as the milkman petioning the High Court in London for unpaid bills.
Upon further relection since the end of the game, I feel Eddie must be mistaken. Mr. Hemmings is usually such a well informed journalist too, but to believe Salford would be challenging for honors in 3 years seems foolhardy, 5 years is a far more credible and believeable figure.

| Unless JW has a multi millionaire willing to put money in then any 3yr or 5 yr plan is pie in the sky.
We are in the $hit big style.
Only good news from this year is that two of the biggest gob$hites to ever pull on the famous red shirt are leaving.
