We haven't 'cheated'/aren't 'cheating' the cap.

| Just a thought, and it is only a thought before people jump down my throat. Say Salford do decide to deliberately break the cap, I fail to see how this will help them. As the cap is a rule agreed to by the 14 super league members, if one team does it, surely they will all just do it. It would essentially mean that the clubs with the largest benefactors would spend the most getting the best players. It would come down to wealth. How wealthy is the good doctor? is he as wealthy as say, Simon Moran at wolves or Caddick at Leeds?
My point is, that if the cap is broken and it descends into a free for all, would Salford (and other clubs too) find themselves in a position whereby the value of the players has increased considerably because they can charge more for their services, whilst still being well down the pecking order in the super league heirachy?

Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?":d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10288.jpg |

What had he done to make you so angry before he took Salford on? Did you lose money on one of his horses

As far as I'm aware, he's never said he intended to break the salary cap. That's just fans of other clubs getting mard heads on about him. He said he thought the cap should be raised (quite rightly: as things are, the cap is falling in real terms every year, which is perhaps why we're losing so many players to Australia), but, since the SL decided not to, he said he will use the same little ruses that other clubs use to stretch the cap a bit.

I have come across him a few times in the owners bars, One notable time at Epsom where he walked in like he was better than everyone else. I don't like his attitude, And this stretches to his disregard for the rules in RL.
(I did however watch an Attheraces feature on him on how his family lost all and he built himself up into a world class surgeon, And have to respect him for that)

GP/ Surgeon whats the difference (Don't answer that).... The feature on him was years ago ha - either way it was about how his family lost everything and he has built himself up from nothing - That I commend him for.
But his attitude is what I question (And don't mind admitting part of the dislike is bitterness he is taking our best player)

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

As said, I got it wrong, It was about 3 years ago. The point I was making was I commended him although I didn't particularly like him, On building himself up after his family were bombed and they lost everything. (And its for this reason why everyone who says "Oh, He'll be gone this time next year" - I argue back that he has never failed before - And won't be starting now)

| How many pages of absolute drivel and insults will this topic be allowed to take ?
Why is it that Salford can sign Hot Sauce from Melbourne;be linked via the press with Neville Costigan at Newcastle Knights,Hock at Parramatta/Wigan/Widnes,SBW at Sydney,Scott Moore at North Queensland Cowboys and a few players at New Zealand Warriors and not one,not one, person from Australia or New Zealand has come onto this forum,or any other, and disgracefully insulted Dr Koukash ?
You Castleford posters are letting your club down, big style.
Maybe Chase wants to win silverware and is no longer content with MoM awards.
Alternatively he wouldn't be the first player to rldislike the place and the peoplerl

He definitely doesn't dislike the place and people ! Silverware maybe (Surely would have chose a bigger club than Salford though). Money to support his family, Definitely.

| 'Castleford Till I Die': that is a shamefully abhorent statement, and one which you seem unwilling to retract.
If that is the sort of comment you feel is acceptable on a forum set up to discuss matters related to the sport of rugby league, may I politely ask that you don't visit us again.
