Why is there no onsite parking? Seems strange to have a lot of people and no official car park?

Trying to attract a big crowd with no parking will put people off surely?

How many spaces at the airport? Not many really?

The footpath on the A57 on the approach to,under,and the other side of the M60 is still 'blocked'.
Today,there was no footpath under the M60.
Anyone walking to the ground along Liverpool Road may have to take extra care as I cannot visualise the area being 'cleared up' by next week.

Probably corporates, TV stuff, press, RL officials and the various entertainment/dancers/kids etc

Having limited/no on site parking isn't rare, the problem we have is how far way everything else it in terms of other car parks and on street.

I've seen the Christmas lights switch on at the Trafford Centre cause right problems on the M60 problems on the night are inevitable.

I`ve asked about why there is no parking , I`ll post the answer as and when I get a reply.
Two West Stand tickets arrived at ours this morning so that's us sorted for next Thursday,

I hope we get a decent crowd for this, would be embarrassing for all concerned if ours is the lowest. Hopefully everyone on here buys tickets and drag as many friends down with them, tickets are very reasonably priced too.

I think parking will put a lot of people off. If you can't get on the airport, then a 25 min walk to the ground will put a lot of people off.

Why is there no park and ride from the Trafford Centre? Everyone knows where that is! We are not only trying to attract people from Salford but outlying areas such as Warrington etc. How many of these will know where West One is?!

I hope I am wrong as it will be great to see the stadium with a decent crowd on. I'm just not sure of the logistics of everyone getting there.

Surely all the on site parking (not sure how many spaces we have), has been taken by TV, Corp etc?

The park & ride from Trafford centre was deemed to be a no go with the event taking place there, the traffic logistics will be bad on the Trafford site so no use adding to it

There is also a shuttle bus service running from Irlam , which I intend to be using.
Again waiting for the stadium to come back with the the exact location the bus will be starting from..( Says on the travel plan from Irlam Station but the station approach is unsuitable for large vehicles.)

Not sure who's told you this and where they are getting info from, but you can still buy tickets in 4 blocks of the East Stand via the world cup website. I think I've given up believing anything that comes from the stadium company.

The short lived shuttle bus service from last season picked up from the bus stop outside The Railway pub.

The lack of car parking including ,I understand,for disabled people is absolutely ridiculous . This is not an inner city location with roadside parking.
Not really interested in the reason/excuse/who's decision it is.
Makes all the interested parties look amateurish.
Professional sport run by donkeys.

For some strange reason the shuttle bus is departing from the Ship Hotel.

I see Leigh is close to selling out for tomorrows game with over 10,000 tickets sold already.

I dont think parking is as big a deal as people are making out, granted it is an inconvinience but with the airport, Eccles RL and Eccles RU there is ample parking around the stadium. It just means a 10-15 minute walk instead.
