| Quote: Marshy1 "Firstly I think you'll find we were invited back by your own JW because it seems we will be very helpful to your under 21 team when we get the agecroft site up and running.
Secondly whilst we may have not contributed any business rates(that's what companies pay) to the "city" neither have we had vast loans of them just to keep operational and nor have we had to go cap in hand to fund a stadium.
So it seems it's the Pinks who have really been the ones using the "cap".!!'"
I think we have more than earned the right for some support after 132 years IN SALFORD. It's a no brainer for the council considering what the club contributes to the local community in our city. (Including lots of community work in 2 of Salford's 20 wards, Swinton North & South). And lets not forget the buisness and employment the club has generated over the years and will continue to generate for our city.
It's a fact of life Marshy you have to put the work in to get something back. You don't get anything for free. Loyalty should never be undervalued.

I like this 'Pinks' thing the Swinton fans come up with. It's a really clever insult because, if you imagine you're still at infant school, pink is such a [igiiirrrrly[/i colour.

The kids would have to be colour blind were Salford Reds and our team colours are red! On the other hand the girls might like it? The Pinks evolved from the council shirt sponsorship insisting their council colour of magenta was on the away shirt.

he was just waiting for someone to bit, I just ignore it, it relates to his pre-historic juvenile thinking and his homophobia, next he will be out with a can of paint throwing it over the signs at SALFORD civic centre.

oh believe me I know fully you play Oldham next but as they're a bigger club than Swinetown I thought it best not to mention it. Yours in Spain / France, KOTS!

Have to say credit to you if you have been over watching the match and a good win to boot.Credit where credit is due.
Now take a look at the results from Sunday that big club in Oldham has just been brought down to size.!

Hope your not suggesting I had anything to do with any vandelism to signage that may have happened previously.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

Great win for Swinton today, good to see the Lions at the top of the table.

| this was a good thred until you load turned it weird.Regardless, has anyone heard any more rumours about any possible replacements?I hope we don't go down the aussie route, I would prefer someone from NL1 or a good young english lad from a SL club? Wigan have loads of 2nd rowers, surely one of them is seeking more game time?

| Surely H.H is in the first team though at Wigan as the lad is superb.

| Now a tenuous link to Wigan, but what about Mark Flannagan? It was mentioned on the MEN website, anybody seen him play in the NRL?

Yeah, he's looked ok when he's played. Seems to be enjoying the lifestyle out there if his appearances on the Footy Show are anything to go by. However, he's far from regular 1st team selection so perhaps looking for a move.
