Jumping the gun I know but assuming two players are leaving, is this wise business just a few days before a massive cup match? Personally I'd imagine this speculation would be quite unsettling for the team.

That's why it helps when people keep schtum and don't start posting rumours on message boards.

Do you honestly expect a story of this magnitude (Started by a RL journalist on Twitter) not to be posted and discussed on this fans forum? Come on. If the Doc wanted to keep it schtum the last person he should have told was Neil Barker.

I was joking, but in all seriousness when things are as delicate as they are this is the last place you want them to be discussed.

In all fairness to Barker I don't think he has still mentioned anyone's name and has just passed on what a NZ website had posted. It appears the Doc has told him to be quiet and he has.

Totally but the Doc probably assumed by telling Barker to keep it quiet also involved not mentioning two players are possibly leaving and mentioning a player from NZW could be signing. It seems Neil Barker conveniently interpreted this as not to actually reveal the name of the player but drop lots of hints on a social media site.

I'm not sure because there was talk this morning of the Doc telling Barker the deal was at a delicate stage. Furthermore if you were signing a high profile International player of this standing would you not want maximum impact through the media rather than it coming out before a deal is actually done?

I think it is a wonderful demonstration that Dr K will not be allowing the grass to grow under his feet and will be backing his new head coach;big time.

It would appear Barker has been told in absolute secrecy, otherwise you would have seen an article on the MEN by now.

I think he's learnt his lesson (MK) he's going about recruitment in a much more professional and dignified manner. Cards are well and truly being kept close to his chest.
