A lot of those 'squaddies' carry with them the skills & experience that your current (fairly decent!) crop of youngsters will need to pick up over the next 2-3 years for Salford to evolve into anything meaningful, so they are, if anything, more important than those who can sparkle in 2014 SL. This is all about year on year progress for me. This squad is better than the current, big name players will take time to arrive and believe in the product.

The fact it was a well managed press conference and the web site is up and running, season tickets will be on sale is a huge bonus from our starting position.

I’m pinching myself here.

Rangi Chase, Gareth Hock, Tim Smith, Adrian Morley and Jake Mullaney are big signings for us. When you then throw in the likes of Francis Meli, Tony Puletua, Steve Rapira, Junior Sa’u etc we’re going to have a much more competitive team next season. Dr Koukash promising more signings too.

The news concerning the surroundings of the stadium is the biggest news today, if this comes off (and I see no reason why it shouldn’t) then this will secure the future of our club for many, many years.

Koukash says Salford will be the biggest club in Super League, who’s going to disagree with him after today.

Mastermind Hock buying into the new name already.

Hopefully we'll hear more today about the non-fed signings as Yogi Bear is correct - were one over there. Only 5 allowed. I can only presume dispensation has been given to somebody to allow this to happen.

Absolutely delighted with this today though. Some wow players built around a lot of experience in the team. Has the makings of a cracking season in 2014.

Has the Doc bought into the stadium complex/surrounding area?
