| Spent a fortune yesterday to witness a gutless second half capitulation.
Holsworth kicks yesterday were an embarassment and his general play in the second half has all the halmarks of a man who just does not want to be at the club.
I witnessed the players abuse their own fans and Howarth in particular was a disgrace.
We then have Long threatening fans to cap it all off.
I do not condone some of the mindless idiots who do follow our club , but believe me the fans who the players were having a go at follow the club everywhere, and have more pride and passion in SCR than the majority of those out there yesterday who supposedly get paid for playing for a club we love.
Thats it for me, until there is change made I will not be going again.

| Quote: Ave It! "Stu Howarth take a long hard look at yourself pal, '"
Stu Howarth was the player involved in the matter on report. The Broncos forum have identified Clubb,no lightweight, going in on his knees.Stu was limping badly until the end of the game after that.
It was Clubb who also battered DJ long after he had kicked the ball from his hands in the first half.
Players have done well for me.From pre-season being booed by their own supporters;to some exhilarating displays and taking the world club champions most of the way in the CCC to now being even worse than the owner and the board of directors !
Some of these players have returned, astonishingly quickly, from broken bones !
I think some of the comments are being written while we are all still in a state of shock.
Let's just take it easy, then get back into it ever so slowly.Nobody can deny it was awful.Nobody has.
Having a go at players while emotions are still raw is
Need someone to say - 'We're all in this together' - but with a bit more sincerity than Cameron and Clegg

| Well just got back, been a laugh a minute apart from the second 40. I managed to miss the abuse session drowning my sorrows in the bar, what would have been a cheap trip got rather expensive for 4 of our party, kicked out the hotel at 2.30am this morning for having 4 in the room and one of them going all rock star and turning the telly on its side. The upshot £330 for rooms at the Premier Inn near Kings Cross.
One other member fell asleep at halftime and he didn't see the second half and only back in Kings Cross did he find out we lost,
Oh yes GB best day at the Olympics ever, thanks to us I would like to think.
As for pride in the shirt, well if the players had 1% of the pride some of our supporters have we would be world beaters.

| think most of this was so unnecessary thought the abuse some players got was way over the top and the beer made some fans see what they wanted to see for what it's worth I thought the gestures the players made started as "if you can do better come and try" but I accept they should not of reacted.
another thought most of the people who were dishing our the abuse were the same ones who arrived as the fulltime whistle blew for the U 20s and celebrated as if we had won the grand final again not having a clue what had happened a final thought if you choose to abuse players then be big enough to take it back

| I wasn't there yesterday, but I was at the Catalans game, which turned out to be Karl Harrisons final game
There appears to be a similarity,in that the players took exception to our fans expressing their displeasure at the teams performance.
Personal abuse of the players is not acceptable, but neither in my opinion is the playing squad reacting in any way.
I do believe that a previous comment, that the coach. 'has lost the dressing room',may well have some substance.
What ever is the truth are the fans wrong to expect full effort by all the squad? Of course not.
Will the 'mugs' still be here when some of the rats have left the sinking ship?
Of course we will
A root and branch clear out would appear to be the answer.

| I honestly think that if we'd have kicked more goals in the first half and broken the 30 barrier, psychologically, London would have been unlikely to come back. As it was, at the stage when it was 6 tries to two it was only a 16 point game with practically a full half to play. When you add to that our inability to deal with the high ball, and how many needless penalties we gave away it wasn't all that surprising that once London got some momentum they kept it.
Not sure if it's (poor) attitude, (lack of) motivation, (weak) spirit or just the lack of a couple of sensible heads but it's not the first time we've lacked composure.
As for the fan situation. By the second half, the Salford fans were split over three stands yesterday. From where I was, opposite the benches, I could see there was some finger pointing and gesturing with the fans behind the bench, but couldn't comment on who did/said what.
The day started out so positively too, with the 20's winning well and having an impressive sing-song on the pitch.

| Quote: tw15 "Re the fans. About 15-20 Salford fans decided to move from behind the sticks to the halfway line for the second half. The stewards make the mistake of not preventing this and once the fans were there they weren't able to move them. The fans were just behind the bench and started in good humour asking for waves from the Salford subs and coaching staff. They had beers and started to tease the Broncos crowd. Two or three Salford ladies, drunk, in their fifties, took exception to something and spent the rest of the match shouting at a box at the back of the stand, throwing v signs, swearing and making attempts to walk up to the box. I thought they were having a go at the mother of a party of six year olds, but I understand it was the WAGs they were shouting at.
As the Broncos started winning they turned against the team.
It was fewer than 10 people being stupid, there was no violence, but to a Broncos fan they were not a pretty sight.'"
As one of the away supporters down for the game yesterday I have to say that your resume of what went on was spot on.
Our second half performance was disgusting as was the antics of a small number of "supporters" who as far as I am concerned were an utter disgrace to the club.
Being there with my family, including a young child, was embarrassing to put it mildly and in future at any away match I will be as far away from the group that you have described as I can get.
The abuse given to the players was over the top by a very small minority of fans and was to my mind disgraceful as was the attention given to the coaching staff and the families of the players that you have mentioned although why a couple of players actually responded to the couple of morons near where we were sat, just behind the posts, shows a complete lack of judgement and professionalism.
The Bronco's fans were excellent all through the game especially in the first half when they were on the rack, some of our fans could take a lesson from these people.

PR -- If you know this group & feel that they can be identified by photograph and susbsequently banned then please notify Tina at the club on Monday. Salford should have zero tolerance on this matter.

| Criticism of the playing squad for poor performances is justified, hurling abuse during a match however, is just moronic and achieves nothing other than further distracting the players from what they should be doing. Wasn't at the game yesterday, but it sounds like the second half was alarmingly like the Widnes game at home, which was a particularly low point and for that to happen twice in such quick succession, its not suprising frustrations are coming to the surface. It's not the loss, its the total capitulation in games we should have won. The players just haven't looked up for it at all. There seems to be some kind of a rot that has set in at this point in the season. I hope I'm wrong, but I get the distinct impression that the 2012 season has been written off by the club knowing that they got the move to Barton wrong, and the focus has turned to a relaunch for 2013. It seams that this attitude is filtering down to the playing squad too.
All I ask of them is to give it everything they have, and if we come up short then so be it. I can live with a loss as long as we go down fighting. We just haven't seen that attitude in recently matches. The whole squad need to take a long hard look at themselves, an decide whether or not the have the desire to give 100% for Salford week in week out, and understand, that it should be a privilege to pull on that shirt. If they are prepared to do that, they get my unconditional support, if not they need to look to play their rugby elsewhere. I also honestly feel that we HAVE to look to increase the number of first team players that have come through the system at Salford. Our academy lads show so much more passion for the club than alot of the first team do.

| Sounds pretty similar to our trip to London.
I fancied London to win yesterday but not at half time. Salford have been decent at times this year, surely it's not at the point where the fans walk away? You won't reach the 8 but surely there's some positives to take from this season?

Maybe not for good but trust me this club is pushing its most loyal fans to the brink, absolute shambles from top to bottom I hope there's some big changes in the off season and hopefully some new investment which brings new direction for the club but the chances of that I feel are slim and none. I certainly won't be wasting my time on this bunch for the rest of the season anyway I don't care who did what in London the fact is they are full time professionals and they should not be getting involved in confrontations with the fans, I hoped the like would never crop up again after the Catalan incident but yet again it appears the club has let itself down with both certain players and fans to blame.
