I'd be very surprised if Noble would take it, too much to lose and too little to gain (reputation wise). Probably the same with Kear but depends on what other options he has. I'd take Noble as a stop gap option for a year, he could probably do with our squad what he did with Crusaders

Darryl Powel would be a very good choice but he will probably head a lot of lists for the next coaching vacancy to come up. There've been a few clubs just appoint a coach so there may not be a vacancy for a while. So I guess it depends on if he's prepared to wait, he seems relatively content at Fev, he might want to stick it out and see if they can have Salford's place on SL sooner rather than later!

I agree with most and wonder who would take it. Look up "poisoned chalice" in a dictionary and it likely says Salford coaching job as the definition. I think we'll probably end up with Vievers as a default. Nothing against Phil cause I like what I've seen but it feels a bit worst of all worlds - Board didn't have the faith in him 6 months ago and all parties will know that

why would anyone with any kind of reputation come here, we have just lied to then forced out a state of origin coach FFS !!

To get it so wrong time and time and time again is inexcusable a change is needed in the management structure at our club so any coach has a chance to succeed here

I think Kearney is in the same situation with his current squad as Harrison was with the Salford squad when he got the push. Both sqauds have a severe lack of discipline. The Florida debacle was the start of Karls demise and the fact that the main instigator wasn't sold or sacked fueled the unrest. Thats just me reading between the lines by the way. Trying too hard to succeed will sometimes be detremental to your efforts and thats what I think is happening at Salord. Who do you think will take the club on should JW walk away? At Salford you have had the luxury of being in SL and watching some excellent rugby since you left us in the lower leagues. Embrace your future and get behind your club in 2012.

Powell might be happy at Featherstone but could be a good choice for you
Kear , maybe in twilight yers, done well else where but now at Batley on a weekly basis, concentrateing on media work.

How about Mcnamara, whats his contract with the RFL - is it full time. know he didn't do much at Bradford but they had more than their share of problems.

Francis Cummings was apparently on the shortlist for the Wakey job and he comes with a good reputation from players who have worked with him.

Untried at Head Coach level but I think he would be keen to give it a try.
