More like 10+ years ago now it was Gateshead Thunder me Michigan Red a host of others and King of the Shed were in Rhodes watching it (YES KOTS MISSED A GAME) he was a Geordie (living in Salford) called "Geordie Steve" strangely enough. He was drunk and someone dared him to do it so he did, and spent the rest of the night in pendleton nick. His then mate Geordie John still lives in Salford to this day with a former Willows employee ....

Not actaully read this thread peoperly yet, but noticed that point and yes, it was a belting fight. In fact, if memory serves, if you look the game up on the Micron Video website it's listed as "GB BARLA v Australian Aboiginies - FIGHT"

| A few quick willows memories (not specifc moments) from me:
The blue 3-wheeler that used to be parked in front of the main stand.
The shed winding up the bearded Toulouse forward.
Clearing the pitch of snow before a cup tie v Fev in 1996.
Me and my dad being dropped off by my mum at the old mining museum for each home game - and going in to look at the stuffed rats while we waited to be picked up.
Scattering my Dad's ashes on the pitch.
The Alliance Lancashire Shield final v Saints - winning with a last minte try by an ANO who went ob to sign for us (Martin Birkett).
PIPO having a run in with John Kear's PA whils selling the Scarlet Turkey outside the ground.
Throwing coins into blankets for half time collections.

Salford 5 Harlequins 2 2007 marks the start of 619 Red`s attending The Willows on a regular basis, our spot was at the top of the terracing between the shed and the north stand.
The next lot can`t remember the dates
Female streaker running on the pitch, a steward friend of mine got the job of covering her up much to the dismay of the crowd.
Maintenance guy using an angle grinder on steel work through out a reserve game.

Wasn't it Neil Barker's dad carrying the dummy?

| I was talking about this to my dad the other day, for me the abiding memory is a long walk back to the car after another loss.
Going to that cup game against Warrington (the one that Hunte scored the winner about 10minutes into injury time), getting to the turnstile, for my dad to remember he had left his wallet at home and having to drive home and watch on telly.
The blue cars. Does anyone know what replaced those?
The awful feedback from the tannoy whilst the grown up's tried to alter the team lineup and subs in their programme.
Most of my abiding memories of following Salford have happened at away from The Willows though.

| Sometimes feel like I've missed out being the only RL fan in the family, not having memories of my dad taking me to my first game etc (he's a RUan for his sins ).
A few of my memories post 1990 when I started watching.......
A certain CC game which I don't think has been mentioned yet . Utd in 99 is the only thing that surpasses that in my personal sporting favourites.
Bonfire night matches & struggling tower the ball through the smoke
All dayers/nighters in the VC back in the mid 90's & failing miserably to keep pace with the adults!
Bovril
Taking my Widnes supporting mate into the shed 5/6 years ago when we leathered them by about 30.... he lasted until HT then dragged me to the AT stand to get away from the abuse I then spent the 2nd half getting it back twice as bad by some Widnes granny!
Any wins against the 'big boys'
The defence in 05/06 and dragging opponents into touch every few minutes (or so it seemed)
