I am sure G.T would answer this question, but i am sure F.C. Utd are having there own ground built. So it will be us and Sale then unless Utd reserves would play there instead. At the end of the day as been said before, it ISNT our stadium so it would be up to the council and Peel and i am sure that they will want the money that they have invested back sooner rather than later!

But they have to change their names as part of the deal
So we have Salford City Reds RLFC,
Salford Sharks RUFC
FC UTD of Salford
Then people will say there's Salfords stadium over there.
Joint market each other and give discounts, united you are strong.'"
There's no way FC United will move in. Plans for FC's own ground are at an advanced stage and consultation is currently happening with residents in Moston concerning a plot of land there. FC won't want to move in with anyone else as the plan is a "home of our own". And a name change to 'FC United of Salford'? Would be kind of missing the point, but never mind.
Quote: Horatio Yed "Load of scare mongering for me with the negative comments byt some Stockport fans as as a none football fan looking in it seems that a dieing club are being left to die a natural death. '"
Actually, as a football fan who doesn't know any Stockport fans, I can safely say they have been screwed over by Sale. It's a shame the supporter's trust couldn't turn things around, but when you're not fully in control of your own destiny these things happen.

| I'd rather anyone other than Sale, this is more about the Media than the sport. I also wouldn't trust Kennedy.
We need to use the new stadium as a marketing tool. why are there no signs on the motorway side of the new build declaring this to be the home of RL? If Sale sign to move in papers like MEN will suddenly start calling it their stadium. Lets get there and market it as our home and increase the fans coming once the stadium is established as the Home of Salford Reds then maybe allow Sale in for the 2013 season.

I still don't understand why they haven't got a huge sign on the M60 side of the site with the same wording as on the "road" side.

Perhaps because the motorway agency won't allow a big sign on the side of the motorway for obvious reasons....i mean can you imagine the carnage if just one driver reads that and doesn't see what the driver in front is doing.!!!!
Not a difficult one that one.

It could have something to do with the 'Advertisement Control System' which can be extremely complicated and requires special planning consent. I recall a few years ago the club being proactive and advertising forthcoming matches on signs all over salford, before the council put a stop to it.

Shut up with your reasoned explanations and start slagging the club off immediately, or feck off

| That was about using street furniture that didn't belong to the club. They could still advertise on the fences of consenting adults !
The is no reason why the site on the actual structure couldn't have a large advert, even a truck "parked" near the building saying what is being built.

Maybe not, but this suggests that we'd need permission for it ...
[iYour application for consent to display an advertisement will usually be decided by the Planning Committee of the district council or London borough council, for the site where the advertisement is to be displayed. Alternatively, the Planning Committee may have delegated this responsibility to an officer of the Council’s Planning Department. In deciding whether to approve your application, the planning authority may consider only two issues; these are described in the rules as the interests of amenity and public safety.
‘Public safety’ means the considerations which are relevant to the safe use and operation of any form of traffic or transport on land (including the safety of pedestrians), over water or in the air. So, for this purpose, the planning authority must assess the likely effects of your advertisement in relation to such matters as the behaviour of drivers, possible confusion with any traffic sign or signal, or possible interference with a navigational light or aerial beacon. But the planning authority will assume that all advertisements are intended to attract people’s attention, so that the advertisement you want to display would not automatically be regarded as a distraction to passers-by in vehicles or on foot. What matters is whether your advertisement, or the spot where you propose to site it, will be so distracting or so confusing that it creates a hazard for, or endangers, people who are taking reasonable care for their own and others’ safety. When they are considering ‘public safety’ factors for your advertisement, the planning authority will normally consult other relevant bodies, for example the highway authority if your advertisement is alongside a major road. Fair play, never knew about that. With all the advertisements I see going up and down the motorway I didn't think it would be an issue. Clearly I was wrong!
