That was me on there, but it was in reference to us bringing 3000 in 2007 for that relegation battle (which we did, as many pundits backed up), I wasn't saying that we'll always bring that.
Don't expect us to have brought many today, but presumably it was more then you brought to CP in Feb, + 4000 for a home game is not very good.

| with nothing to play for people are not going to pay 18 quid to get in,
but on the whole we did OK with 8 first teamers missing, and a very generous Mr Smith in the middle, but we still need to hold onto the ball and tackle, no doubt McRae will wonder why his game plan didn't work and why hkr didn't play the way they did on the videos he watched.
still lets look forward to next season and some improvement on this year and lets hope we don't fill up the wards at Hope next season.

| Have to say I thought Sean McRae's interview on Radio Manchester after the game was very honest - we were well beaten by a much better side! What more can you say?

Hull KR players wanted it more than we did, it appears a lot of our players didn't want it and couldn't give a about playing for the coach and that includes some who will be here next season.

| Simple fact of the matter is that we went into the game missing a lot of 1st team players and got royally beat by a good KR side looking to finish in the top 6. Whether its the fact that theres nothing to play for or just the realisation that the squad we have at the minute is very poor but i honestly was not bothered one jot about todays game. Maybe 5, 6 tops of todays 17 will be with us next season kind of shows how much improving as a team we need to do to compete next year.
We were very poor today and again our defence was non exisitent but was good to see a few of the younger guys get a run out. little Owen looks anything but a RL player but fair play to the lad, gave as good as got and put one on a plate for Parker. Im genuinely looking forward to next season and can't wait for the current one to end.
And please for god sake can everyone stop blaming the referee everytime we lose a game, its honestly embarassing to hear grown men and women slating the official when the opposition rolls over our defence and scores!!! If people take their blinkers off then 9 times out of 10 you'll see that we get away with as much as we get penalised for!

| our penalty count always dissapoints me and needs addressing for next season whether its poor discipline or poor technique, its not good enough. Thought the young lads did okay today, we got beat fair and square mixture of players not being 100% bothered and a lot of injuries!

All that was there were season ticket holders who could be bothered to go and and freebies.
Would you pay money on the day to watch a meaningless game in which there was a 100% certainty of seeing a leathering.
The club have to get the crowds up, winning and a successful team do that.
Lets hope next year is the start.

Think that's what you meant to say .
McRae mentioned that we had 3 A-teamers playing as a reason for the manner of defeat ,I thought there was 4:- Adam Neal , Jack Spencer , Mark Sneyd & Gareth Owen and they aquitted themselves well. If some of the more established squad members had shown half the spirit Owen showed the margin of defeat would've been narrowed.

What a utter w&nker he is.
Those A-Teamers I thought were the best players on the pitch, at least they showed some effort.
Owen when he was took off looked absolutely gutted, and this is what I like to see pride in what you are doing.

Let's not let facts get in the way of an anti McRae comment or two eh?
That's not what he said at all, in fact he praised them - he merely made the point that we were without a number of first team choices and the team was weakened because of that - he pointed out we'd hung on gamely in the first half, but got overrun in the first 15 minutes of the second - all fairly obvious stuff.
The youngsters did well, but they were always going to be under tremendous pressure with HKR in the mood they were in and playing well with a full strength side.

To defend McRae he did go on record that he was not happy with some of the 1st teamers performances , mentioned no names but alluded to those they have told will not be with us next season. Thought they would have put up better performances considering they were in the 'shop window ' for contracts with other clubs. he them went on the talk about how the squad was down to the bear bones and he was relying on our reserves and how they were put under pressure.
If McRae is sincere in his belief he has some our out of contract players not pulling their weight I would rather he not play them again . I would rather see a couple more A teamers ' struggling ' with pride than 1st teamers moping about the field feeling hard done by ..
