Quote: The optimist "Well warrington away is always going to be difficult especially this time the form they are in at present.
The easter period is always a difficult time, its definately a energy zapper playing 3 games in 8 days or what ever, its the same for both teams, physically and mentally the next 3 are massive and could shape our season imo .
I dont think we should write this game of as a 50+ defeat, warrington have their problems round the edges so i think if we remain busy and target these areas and try and stop their momentum upfront with their big forwards we could be on
Warrington are the home team its all about for me completing our sets and making them play out of the shaddows of their posts with a good kicking game and clever intellegent rugby league,
we'll need to be disaplined with the same effort as last week and no needless silly penalties
we all know in the enviroment of the HJ the referee will will play to the crowd a little but dont give him the chance to penalise us, no cheap shots, no lazy nicking yards at the play of the ball, if warrington are the champion team they think they are they will play through us without us piggy backing them up the field with dum and indisaplined play.
If we can control that and contain wires go forward their crowd will get restless and pressure on them will grow.
Just like last week the players will have to earn the right to play flowing rugby league, do the basics right again early in the game, build a platform like last week and the players will get their rewards.
Golden rules
**DONT CONCEED JUST BEFORE/ AFTER HALF TIME*
Make sure if/when we conceed/score a try we defend /attack the next set in a positive way
Dont turn the ball over in silly areas your under enough pressure playing top level rugby league why increase it??
The most important thing for me is the players and how they approach this game after last weeks success, we may have started to turn the corner BUT without the same effort, commitment and intelligence shown both individually and collectly at times last week we'll get beat and badly
Go out there stay switched on for 80 mins and show us that you can control the ball ask wire questions and be positive, do it for yourself not for us the fans.'"
Finally a good post on the MATCH.
Have to say I was impressed with the passing an offloading from your players in the build up to tries against Hull you will play with more confidence from that win as well.
Key to us going well so far this season is our defence something like 4 of the 8 games we didn't let in a single point in the second half also in attack we seem to be able to score 3 or 4 tries very quickly and teams haven't been able to stop it including Wigan and Saints.
Id like to see Briers back as I think he helps Myler as he's still learning but also adds to the attack and was looking pretty good before he got injuried, our attack has lacked abit of ideas at times without him but its not stopped our backs from finding the line and scoring alot of points would like to think we could score even more if hes fit.
