| Quote: Bonita Red "I like Foran.
We would have been better with him playing yesterday.
But,at Widnes he seemed to chuck it.
When the wheels came off and we needed someone of his experience to be talking to the players, especially the kids,he seemed just to be shaking his head.
So,I think it was far more his attitude than his play that caused him to be dropped,if that's what in fact happened'"
It's a general fitness issue they are working on.

| You have to think what Foran and Mauro have walked into.
They saw a club in total turmoil before they signed only for the Doc to come in at the 11th hour and rescue things then within days of getting off the plane there was Salford doing what Salford do best by getting rid of the head coach and hand over the reigns to the youth coach. Not saying getting rid of PV wasn't the right thing to do but to the two new lads they must have wondered what on earth they'd got themselves in for.
One good thing is now they have a head coach they would have heard off and in Mauros case who will without doubt use him going forward in a way he is used to in the NRL was a real workhorse.

| I would like to applaud Alan Hunt for the way he as handled his time as temporary head coach. The younger players have been a credit to the club.
I don't believe some fans appreciate the step up these players have made. It all right blooding young players into a successful team but blooding the amount of young players Hunt & long have introduced needs to be respected.
Theo Fages, Mark Sneyd Adam Walne, Owen & yesterday I thought Niall Evalds did everything asked of him.
Big thank you & well done to Alan & Sean

| Quote: Early Bath "You dont like the kids do you Bonita? Your mate Nobby will be doing without them no doubt and bring in half a dozen six foot amazon mercenaries to replace them. The brand of Rugby will change no doubt to accommodate the colossuses so brought in and the young uns will have to tread water for a couple of years and then move on. However for me they have shown that they all will make it as they have been well taught.
On the subject of `teaching` the coaches need to sort out Dixons hopeless lobbed passing and surely Gleason has to play LEFT centre to accommodate his distribution (to Broughton). Currently his inside ball from right centre is not being picked up by anyone.'"
Brand of rugby? We've won 3 times in 20 matches. You sound like a West Ham fan going on about the 'West Ham Way' when there's no such thing. We need a coach who will make us competitive and enable us to start winning a few matches and get us away from the bottom of the league. If we have to win those matches 2-0 then I'm pretty sure you, like every other Salford fan, would be delighted.

| Pathetic post this time Walshy. Keep up. Of course with 10 new players we will be winning again. Stevie Wonder could coach them to win. Hunt & Long have not only bravely introduced the kids but have them playing adventurous Rugby. However I am looking forward to the 6 match consecutive wins under Nobbys 5 drives and an Up & Under. Very much.

| I'm not sure about this adventurous rugby we're supposed to be playing. We spent about 60% of the London Broncos game attacking their line and looking highly unlikely to break them. Sure. we've played some nice off the cuff stuff at times (Broughton's try on Friday) but it has looked just that - off the cuff.
I'm struggling to remember a good, slick, structured passing move since the Holdsworth-Moon-Patten triangle was broken up.

| Thinking about it though Sneyd would be ideal for Nobbys Up & Unders (providing they dont get charged down Bonita). One thing he does well is kick.

If only it was that easy.

This adventurous rugby has yielded 186 points in 12 games, the lowest in the league. We've now got a well respected coach with excellent credentials who won't take any mither behind the scenes and will hopefully be appointing a good backroom staff. I simply can't understand why you are moaning about it? I can't help but thinking if Wilky had appointed Noble you'd be hailing him as the greatest appointment since Lance Todd (the proper one, not the resident forum moaner).

| Well hes got the job so lets see. His `past` style is not what I wanted to see but beggars cant be choosers. The best coach without a shadow of a doubt since the real Lance was Cliff Evans. The style he brought in is the type I yearn to see but sadly we will never see those heights scaled again.
So be it - lets give Nobby his chance. Hes the luckiest coach in the world to have such riches behind him from our St Helens GP.

| It's an interesting first 5 games for Noble in the Super League fixtures.
Castleford at home - they may be buoyed by a new coach;but Danny Orr got off to a great start yesterday.
Wigan away - back to his previous club where the young players will remember Phil Veivers.
Bradford at home - Another former club.
Widnes at The Etihad
Warrington away.
Needs to do better than 1 win out of 5,perhaps ?
It's going to be exciting whatever happens...

| Widnes will be the big bench marker to see how well Noble has started after the poor result last week.

| We've been watching poor rugby for years which has usually resulted in us performing badly, at least if it's poor under Noble we might actually challenge for honours rather than being dogsh*t and losing.
