No obviously it was the CiTV Telly Tubby marathon that tempted him up before Mummy had made with Farleys Rusks

Kevin Locke has been named 18th man for this weekends Warriors V Canberra match.

He's there to cover the possibility that the NRL will suspend Konrad Hurrell , in which case locke will play WIng.

Just a quick update on Lockes NRL return.



Hurrell has been retained....no suspension.....so we don't need another outside back.



The inside word is that Kevin Locke will play in any case and will be played off the bench as a relief dummy half / impact ball player.



Should be interesting , new role for Locke.



Good on him for making it in the line up given there is no need for him in a positional sense.

Solid return to the NRL tonight for Nobby.

He looked fine out there coming on late to play Hooker for the first time in his life.....did a good job....Looking forward to seeing him for the rest of the season,

Just watched the game and the fact that you didn't notice Locke when he played hooker is a good thing and shows his versatility. Was thinking about Edwards myself though I doubt paying the money we must be for Locke and playing him in any position other than full back is a possible option.

What did strike me is the simiiarity between the seasons of both the Warriors and Salford, both talented squads who have massively under performed yet with one big win the Warriors they move up a few places in the league.

Good call. I know Kevin was really nervous before that game. He said that his goals were to not make errors.....and make sure no one ran over the top of him.

He ticked those boxes, his first one on one tackle was on a Prop forward....that's typical locke....small guy starts the game racing in and trying to put a hit on a Big player.

That would be the most dummy half passes Lockes made in a game in his life...there was nothing dynamic in it....he only had one Dummy half burst.....quite an unselfish mature display from a guy getting twenty minutes to claim a spot in the top side.

A lot of players in his position would have tried to over cook it.

Kevins a Fullback through in through as you say that's where you play him. He's a very good winger ( underrated by many for reasons I won't bore you with )

In terms of versatility it's the play at Six that Locke provides as emergency cover in games that makes him a valuable insurance clause in a team ( you probably know Locke grew up playing 6. )

He's been training at as well ( last week we got early word McFadden was running him at Hooker and in the NRL).

While there is limited serious consideration for Kevin playing outside the Fulback / Wing positions.....it gives options reshuffling to cover injury.
