This, along with the possibility of being blinded by a low sun early/late in the year, was pretty much why the original plan for north stand to house the home fans was swapped.

| It would mean that we actually attacked our own end in the second half though. I can't think of a team that more often than not attacks the opposition end in the second half when playing at home.
There needs too be some serious tree planting behind the South stand the fact that it is so open is dangerous, I got hit by a flying table, numerous pints of beer and bizarrely a cash register at the Saints home game when the wind picked a table up and it hit me.

71248_1418040451.jpg On the 8th day, God created Rugby League
On the 9th day, Satan created Salford.
A battle ensued through to to late on the 12th day.
A few hours later, a truce, and on the final stroke of midnight, Code 13 was created...
Heaven and Hell combined forces and delivered Salford Red Devils...a legacy is born!!!!!:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_71248.jpg |

Sure that was the wind and not just a member of the G4S mafia trying to maim you?

That wasn't the wind.

Good decision at the time. That is before somebody went to the ground without a big coat on and three pairs of socks. Of the two – cold and blindness – I’d rather have the sun in my eyes.

| It'd make more sense to relocate to the East Stand and create some much needed atmosphere.

Would like that but would need to rip the seats out first, which might nark the regulars in there. Interesting that when I was in there for the Widnes game, it was far more lively than the last time I was in there a couple of years ago.

| Just allow people to stand as many people do at Hudds, Wigan etc anyway, and allow existing east stand ST holders a free upgrade to the west stand.
It'd make a world of difference to the entire ground. I honestly don't get how anyone can watch from the South stand anyway. The view is terrible.

Wouldn't this depend on winning the toss?

| That's another point: how come we never win the toss? What coins are the refs using? Are they supplied by RLHQ?

| I believe as fans we need to take action into our own hands and move everybody into the East Stand and nearer to the away fans to create a better atmopshere. This will surely contrebute directly to us getting a better following at home games. Rugby League is a much better game watched from the sidelines than behind the sticks. I am sure all you Shed die-hards will agree. I think the club should atleast give it a try by shutting the South Stand for one of the upcomming Sky Sports encounters. It looks a dam sight better on TV as well!
I hope anyone who is in the fans board can pass this along to Marwan and Vickers to get this put into action at the Huddersfield and potentially the Warrington there after. The West stand can be the family stand it's big enough and there was plenty of spare seats on Sunday.

| As said above by the previous 2 posters, East Stand would be the best one to use. Like when we go places such as Huddersfield the other week, no one who wanted to stand sat down so why not trial it and see how it goes? It would also offer a much better view, circulate the noise from the fans better on to the pitch and also make the stadium look better on the cameras, even on highlight reels.
must be worth at least trialling for one game and sure if we got the doc on board with it he could push the SMG to action it even if it does cost a couple quid more to go in the East over the South.

| Last Sunday stood shivering in the south stand, both me and my partner headed for the warmth of the sun shining on the east stand. Bliss. Watching Salford from the touchline for a split moment at least made me think I was stood in the shed. Would much rather stand at the back rather than sat down but I'm sure if a critical mass was to join me we'd be able to.

| Tbh, we've been FAR to accepting of this corporate, H&S obsessed boring brand of stadia. Yes there's seats in the stand we'd rather have terracing and this very fact amounts to the stadium company/developer naively ignoring our request but we could just take the initiative and do things our way.
Thoughts, or has this sailed down the canal?
