| Have Swinton not had a game tonight? Their one and only fan seems to be on here tonight.
Wasn't the best in the second half but what a great deal of people need to remember is that we have a fair amo8unt of sub standard players playing in the upper echelons of rugby league. If at this stage of the season next year we are in the same position I'll be seriously worried.
As for this year remember Salford fans it could be much much worse, we could be Swinton fans who are shortly to find out hat they have no team left to support.

| So not withstanding the fact that this season is in all fairness a transitional one, what happens if 2014 turns out as bad and what do you see as improvement.??
Before the "Swinton are e" brigade start which I have never confirmed one way or another but watch home and away, this is a genuine question because quite frankly to compete you need a new team.

| Transitional b******s. Our results and performances under Noble so far are definitely no better than under Vievers and they were bad enough. The minimum we could have expected was to become more competitive. Instead we are getting blown away.
How are we going to attract better players to this set up? The Good Doctor is blowing a lot of hot air, I don't know exactly what Noble is doing, but progress is minimal if any.
Just over 3,000 there again tonight. There must be twice that number staying away, and after another mauling be thinking, 'Thank God I've not just wasted another £30.'

Salary cap - you're havin a laugh.: |

| Concerning how we can't seem to stop the rot when teams get a bit of momentum behind them. 4 tries in 9 mins last night, similar at Warrington and not much better in the 1st half vs Wakefield. Need to find a way to stay in the game when under pressure. At the moment we just cave in.

| We seemed to lose it when McGoldrick came on. It would of been better to play Evalds instead of Mc Goldrick

| When Koukash said 'It wont happen again' did he mean getting hammered away at Warrington wont happen again or in general ? if it was the latter he's looking a bit daft now after getting thumped again !!.
Keep your heads up guys, my club has been through the weekly hammerings and it isn't nice but ride it out then enjoy the better times !

Yeah that was the killer, that 10 minute period between the 50th and 60th minute. Two or three of the tries in the game had an element of luck like the kick on the wing that ricocheted up in the air off two of our players and landed straight into the hands of their player, but it's annoying how we lose concentration and manage to concede about four tries pretty much without getting the ball back.
After Broughton scored to bring it back to 14-10, I don't even remember us having the ball in their half until there was about 5 minutes left in the game.

| A bit worrying for the critics of last years scapegoat Stu Howarth and this years scapegoats Foran and Mauro, that we can perform so badly when they weren't playing.
The whole club needs a full, slow, careful observation and the correct people and procedures put in place on and off the field.
I was hugely embarrassed and annoyed not to have been made aware of young players holding a bucket collection before the game, outside the stadium, and so didn't take any money to be able to assist.
I would like to see some improvements in a second half display whether in a position to recover in the game or if the game is totally beyond retrieval, but I ain't seen it yet.
I could be wrong, but I seem to recall the home victory over Hull KR was the last time we won a second half.

I agree pal. The 1st half I thought we were pretty good and our kicking game was excellent ( kicking the ball and having it stop on their try line/in goal area gave us good advantage , although our chase up the field after a kick was pretty average and needs improving). I don't understand what happens at the 50 minute mark of the game though. Its almost like a total switch off. Its a kind of " I cant be d with this any more " attitude , which has gone on all season. The no pre season comments cannot be used now as we are coming towards the end of June , so fitness levels should be good. I also don't think its a mentality toughness thing , just purely an attitude of people not caring to try their best for the club.
After the Wakefield game , that was the time to start the clear out of who will not be here next season and they shouldn't be involved with the club anymore. I'm sure Alan Hunte will have an abundance of young players who will play with much more pride than most of the team at present. Now is the time to try them out and give them the experience needed. All the super stars in super-league had to make a debut at some point ( although in better circumstances) but they cant do any worse than the crap on display at present.
also throughout the game , we are constantly substituting key areas such as hooker and loose forward. Surely this is no good for game plans/strategies ? Why not give young Owen a few full 80 minute games and see how he goes. Give Gaskel a run out in his stand off position and bring in Evalds at full back ( its not rocket science). Could Sneyd play at loose forward ?? I'm sorry but Wilde is no more than a 2nd rower to me.

| I thought we did well in the first half tonight, but again the wheels fell off.Gaskels kicking was the highlight.
Can someone explain to me the definitive rules about interchanges?. Does the player have to have left the field of play before his substitute can set foot on the field? If so , Saints were guilty of having 15 players on the pitch !!
In the 32nd minute of the first half, two Saints subs ran on as two Saints players were ambling off to the sidelines.
I think this rule needs clearing up to save any disputes in the future.....

| The kicking from hand was as good as I've seen from a Salford team at the new stadium, the kick chase last night didn't do the kicking justice.
There is deinately an issue with our tackling technique as time and again last night we allowed the Saints player to fall forward and get a much quicker play the ball than we managed.
Sorry but for Noble to commit to print saying how good a player Evalds is and then not even have him on the bench only to play a stand off/centre play full back baffled me. There is nothing now to play for except pride and blooding a player like Evalds who didn't let himself or the team down when he got his chance early on in the season would be ideal, also McGoldrick needs to learn how to carry bottles as for me that should be the sum total of his contribution until the end of the season, get Owen involved and release McGoldrick at the end of the year.
