| Don't think he will sign the contract on offer. Therefore he is telling us to sell him. £250000 is the first offer play saints off against wires and eventually let him go to the highest bidder! As long as it is not Warrington.

Not every one agrees with the above...still alot to prove....needs to stay where he is and prove himself alot more...still got to improve defence quite alot...Fees too high for a good prospect which he obviously is

| Salford may be running on a sub £1m cap next year if rumours are true, they will take the best offer for Myler but will Myler play ball or secure a far better deal once out of contract??

| Today's [iLeague Express [/iis carrying an interview with Martin Offiah in which he claims that Richie Myler has turned down Salford's contract offer.
It does seem ridiculous to me that half way through a three year contract we should have to suffer all this nonsense and uncertainty. Richie Myler still has seventeen or eighteen months left on his contract I think. I do think Mr Offiah is trying to build up his reputation as an agent; if Richie had an agent who didn't court publicity as much or wasn't trying to build up his reputation as an agent perhaps things might have been conducted away from the Sports' Pages and TV programmes.

You could argue that without Offiah, Salford would receive much less for Myler.

If thats the case then *uck off Richie.
I like the player and would not want him to go but obviously his head has been well and truly turned by all the hype.
Lets build the team round Stefan.
As people have said 4 months SL and he is the best thing since sliced bread.
Players come players go thats life one thing is though Salford carry on.

| I personally don't see the massive problem with Offiah behaving in the way he, allegedly, has done...he's an agent and it's a major part of his job to get his client as much as he can which is what he's doing...IMO he's getting grief for doing what every other agent the world over does because he's a "name"...if his agent was Joe Bloggs (great agent as well as great clothing line!!) then I don't think there'd be as much hand-wringing over the agent's involvement.
If he wants to leave then so be it, just don't mess us around as others have done in the recent past.

| as Danny (LOYAL FAN) put so well in another Myler thread Warrington are taking a massive gamble signing Myler. Offaih is only doing what any other agent would do and that is to get the best deal for him and the player . IMO i would like Myler to have a couple more seasons at Salford before he comes to us let him learn his trade away from the spotlight
