| Salford City narrowed the gap to four points when they defeated next to bottom side Rossendale United by 3-1 at Moor Lane on Tuesday night. The crucial point in the game saw the visitors miss a penalty when leading 1-0 late in the first half with goals from Stuart Rudd, Darren Hockenhull and Steve Moore sealing the points for the Ammies. Got to make comment also on the fantastic atmosphere which had the main stand rocking. Absolutely brilliant following on from a great day out in Hull on Sunday!!

The points gap is now back to six with the Ammies having four games left to play with Rossendale one less but with a superior goal difference.

| 0-0 at home to Nantwich. We were by far the better team and hit the woodwork. Should've won, but never mind. Can still sneak into the play offs. Ilkeston away on Saturday and Bradford P.A. at home the week after. Squeaky bum time.

| Salford City completed their home league campaign with a late two goal victory over Harrogate Railway which keeps their dream of Unibond League Football very much alive. The Ammies now trail next to bottom Rossendale United by one point having taken 22 points from the last 27.
Both teams have two fixtures left with Salford's next game away at Championship favourites Skelmersdale United on Tuesday night while Rossendale entertain play off candidates Newcastle Blue Star on the same evening. It's going to be a nail biting night for all concerned ............

That's an amazing effort from the lads, what a turnaround. I wish them all the best and I hope (in fact pray) they can do it.

| Warrington aren't out of it (For relegation) but I'd like to see Salford beat Skem.
It really is an amazing effort, isn't that ex Fc United player Rudd firing in all the goals for you lot?
Our last game is away to Harrogate on Saturday, need a point to stay up.

| FC won 1-0 on Saturday, a last minute winner from Danny Williams.
Depending on what happens at Leigh Genesis v. Bradford PA tonight, and also Nantwich's game this evening, a win on Saturday could put us in the play offs. On the other hand, we could win and finish 7th.
Either way, it'll be a cracking warm up to the evening's rugby.

| Leigh won, unsure of the score. They owed us a favour after the 4-2.

Salford City`s fight to stay up goes to the last game of the season.
Winning 1-0 at half time at Skelmersdale and full value for the lead Salford were hit by two goals in two minutes - a penalty and an own goal on the hour mark. Two late Skem goals then sealed a 4-1 victory for the home side. Could have all been very different if the Ammies could have doubled their lead just minutes before Skem went 2-1 ahead when two goal bound shots were cleared off the line within seconds of each other.
Still trailing by one point with a much worse goal difference Salford now have to win their final game at Garforth Town on Saturday and hope that Rossendale who also lost 4-1 at home tonight to Newcastle Blue Star pick up no more than one point from their home fixture against Mossley in order for the Ammies to avoid relegation.

Finished 2-1. We gave you Marshy in exchange for the 4-2, so you owe us one. I'm sure your fans at the game tonight enjoyed BPA being serenaded with "are you FC in disguise?"

| A massive well done to Salford City staying up today, 5-2 win at Garforth and Rossendale losing at home to Mossley means a great end to the season and a second season in the Unibond.
