| JGR, while I agree with your conclusion it does seem to be at odds with your post about Iain Blease.
In this thread you say that the Club shouldn't employ anyone who isn't professionally qualified or without the necessary experience. Yet on the Blease thread you think it's great that the Club has employed someone without any qualifications or experience as a CEO. Just wondering about that.
I'm not having a go btw, just an observation.

| Quote: John Gilbert Reds "So I believe.
As I said over 12 months ago though unless you're professionally qualified with necessary experience you shouldn't be holding positions within a professional sports club regardless of the position. That said I have no idea what position she is taking up and whether or not she is adequately experienced. I assume she has been appointed on the back of the many photoshop graphics that she has tweeted and I therefore assume her job title is "Graphic Designer"?
One thing is for sure as a die hard fan like the rest of us I am sure she will give 110% and work far more hours than she will be paid for (assuming she is being paid that is!).
PS - it also shows just how embarrassing it was of the official clubs Twitter account to block her.'"
I agree with you JGR. I'm sure Louise is a nice person but just because she can design a poster on Microsoft Paint doesnt mean she should be employed by the club.
Koukash's entire reign has been marred by him appointing the wrong people in the wrong positions Vickers, Harris, Puletua, Noble etc. He will admit this himself.
To me this stinks of Koukash trying to buy himself some more time with fans by appointing one of the most vocal. From what I can gather she has spent the majority of the past 2 years vocally criticisng him and likewise he has her. Now however Koukash is bigging up her job on twitter and the impression I get is that she is going to be in charge of marketing the club!?
Questions have to be asked of what experience she has of this. At the end of the day it us, the season ticket holders, who will be paying her salary. It is only right we question this appointment.

You are Louise being good 'Twitter Fwends' means you were bound to never look at this objectively.
For the rest of us we have every right to scrutinise the club and whilst I think she is a nice person I'm with JGR on this one and question her role.'"
I've never met the girl, so well done on your expert research. You're not even a Salford fan. Why do you even bother coming on here and do nothing but spread negativity?
There's nothing wrong with scrutinising the Club. I've hardly been some bastion of positivity when the Club does things wrong it's just that all you do, and I mean everything you do, is negative on here.
I don't see the point in resurrecting a thread that's 12 months old to simply cause mischief when the incidents talked about have happened, passed, been healed and moved on.
Something you should do yourself.

Good luck to louise & every other Salford supporter who is given a chance to try & make a positive difference within the Salford club. I am sure if we all agreed with each other life would be pretty boring. Ian Watson as shown on a professional level what it meant to him, maybe some of this as rubbed off on MK.
Giving supporters the chance to make a difference can only be good for the club, we tried everything else.
Finally I would like to see a network like forever reds back again, for me in the hey day they made a significant contribution which cannot be underestimated.

As an outsider looking in,if you are a news reporter in an earlier life, the beautifully ironic appointment of Eccles born Nigel Roberts is by far the most controversial appointment.
If he can do 2 jobs at 2 different places is he worthy of a full time salary from the RFL?
Whatever paper qualifications are required for the position given to Louise there ain't nobody at any club who has the enthusiasm and devotion to their club as she has for Salford Red Devils.Just as enthusiasm and devotion on the pitch covers up many technical faults her enthusiasm makes up for a lack of academic qualifications.
I am not one for criticising Dr Koukash but I did think he was hyper-sensitive about the article written by Louise which made the RLW,if I recall correctly.
Understandable I suppose given the ridiculous over-the-top abuse Dr K endures from the 'rugby league family'.
Despite the complaints Louise has received - from fans attending away games that she has not attended etc.etc. she has kept on being positive and rallying the troops behind the cause, and sending positive vibes to players and fans on a consistent and regular basis despite she herself,health-wise, being under the weather to very ill.You cannot buy that type of support.
Name me another supporter anywhere who has her energy levels, and eats sleeps and drinks their club,in a similar way Louise does for Salford Red Devils? Not only prepared to walk the walk but she certainly knows how to talk the talk.
Good luck Salford.Continue being controversial for all the right reasons.( I still can't quite believe your last game.)
If you are not allowed to do the job then you cannot gain experience.Having an opinion and being critical means you care sufficiently to have an opinion and be critical.

| I personally think it's a great appointment; someone who wears their heart on their sleeve, looking to do their very best to promote the Club. I can't think of any reason why there's negativity surrounding this.

| The problem is that "passion" and "enthusiasm" count for nothing in the real job market and listing them on a CV wont get you a job by default. Let alone a job which requires raising attendances at a club which has struggled to increase crowds for 30 years.
If we recruited on passion and enthusiasm alone we'd have Bobbie Goulding as our head coach which I seem to remember no one wanted.
This isn't personal, however it is individual criticism of Louise. Of all the appointments yesterday I believe hers is the most bizarre and unjustified yet it appears to have receicved the least scrutiny of all which i find odd.
Logically, common sense would dictate that there is more than just myself and JGR on this board who question this appointment. It seems odd that more arent questioning this. Then again, I suppose none of our fans want to lose a follower on twitter

Do you really know how ridiculous you sound, I am sure if it fails you will be here again just like a pop up! Give the girl a chance, cannot do any worse than your contribution which always strikes a negative note with SRD.

It isn't odd that others have a different opinion, sometimes the majority. JGR may have initially (read 12 months ago) have been critical, but his last post was far from it. So in reality, the only one on here so far being critical is you. You're entitled to have an opinion of course, and others are entitled to call that opinion nonsense or agree with you.
The interesting point here is that we've also just employed a new CEO who has passion, the Club's best interests, and no experience or qualifications for his post yet you don't seem to be pointing that out.
The fact that you felt you needed to bring up a 12 month old thread to have a little dig at someone who doesn't really deserve it at this point says more about your motives and drives than anything else.
Whatever happened to giving people a fair chance?
Pretty childish individual.

| Get your head out of the clouds and wake up to reality.
As I've said, none of the appointments are perfect and some are as left field as the Silverwood appointment back in September. I think this is the most bizarre though and , not surprisingly, has received the less scrutiny.
Nothing against her personally, in fact she seems a really nice person. However this thread has shown me that I was right in my suspicion that people are unwilling to criticise giving they feel they know her.
My argumnet is that the debate should move from Blease and the new bloke in charge of salary cap and should include this appointment as well, which some seem they dont want to talk about.

Not strictly true. Granted whilst Bleasey hasn't held the position of CEO at another Super League club previously, I think his experience of 14+ years playing RL, coupled with his MSc in Management Practice and his experience of dealing with the administrative aspect of the game as an agent over the last few years equips him with sufficient ability to undertake the position and do so to a high standard. Credentials wise he is certainly a major improvement on anything we have had over the past 15+ years.

I'm sorry but this really p*sses me off.
I am sure even Louise herself wouldn't claim to be the most enthusiastic and devoted supporter, how do you even measure such a thing? Games attended? How many tweets you make? How many graphics you make for players? Louise is no different from us all here and the 2,000 or so die hards that turned up for the last few months of the season.

"We've" made a few appointments and the good Dr. has decided to mix expertise and passion. Suddenly, in reacting to Mr M, we're jumping around and maybe getting shirty.
The proof of any pudding is in the eating: proof is an old English word meaning "test". We have a team, a club and a future ... something I was not believing we had at 16:28 exactly one month ago.
So let's ignore the M and reflect we seem to have a club that has passionate employees. That is well on the way to meeting the test.
Oh, to state "none of the appointments are perfect" re. N Roberts shows a similar acumen as Trump at a gay Pride march. M's destroyed his argument in one phrase. End of his bluster.
See you at Rochdale.
