Fair comment, but the club should as "a professional" organisation quash any derogative rumours, rather than letting speculation give poor light of the coaching or playing staff, not all press speculation/reports is good news, "any news is good advertising is not always true".

Be realistic folks - when matters like this arise, involving contracts of employment etc. as an employer you have to be so careful not to prejudice any possible proceedings that it's inevitable the club must stay tight-lipped until m'learned friends have given the OK to some statement.
ANYTHING else would be unwise in the extreme. Expecting the club to give a running commentary on events like this is totally unrealistic IMHO

As an outsider,it does seem a shambles,first Bomber(claiming he is ill)then Alker(claiming he is ill).Interesting to hear Alker talk about him bringing his union rep in to the mix??? Alker saying he isn't unwell,and was in the gym with 2 of your players this morning??

This shambles of a situation needs sorting a.s.a.p...whole clear out and new coaching structure needs putting in place,just back from cas,we the fans who pay the ages deserve answers instead of the usual un-professional way the club awlays handles situations like this!

Salford make too many mistakes by bringing in "friends" or looking after ex players. Sims has too much control - who would want to coach under him?
We have a Chairman with limited funds who is relying on people who constantly let him down. I think some of his choices about the people he surrounds himself with have been poor.

Alker should have left at the end of his playing career and his reputation would have been intact, as it is, there's no smoke without fire, and i suspect the situation is now untenable for both Alker and the club. It isn't his first offence - Floridagate was a warning.

I believe the club need to kill the rumours, two of the coaching staff who are both high profile go off ill, one has been away now for two months. This is not a private matter the club is in the public eye! it needs to make a statement one way or other & put this to bed before it gets out of hand.
