| I have been one of the many calling for mcrae to go and I don't wish any illness on the guy at all but will be interesting to see if during this month off due to illness he is still well enough to be a summariser on live games on sky

| Quote RedTez="RedTez"Do you really know that though? Really? It's easy to bash the club about everything you can think of but to think we sign players to multi year contracts without doing a thorough medical would mean that not only are we a poorly run rugby club but a very poorly run business. Despite our performances on the pitch I'd like to think that the board know what they're doing from a business perspective.'"
Who is bashing salford with everything?
If you want to pretend that Wild (Anderson, bailey, feka, Patten) is in tip top shape go ahead. If by the end of the 11 and 12 seasons SW et al have managed around 70-80% of games rub my nose in it. The giants do not have a high paid 'director of coaching' and it would be a backward step if simms were to join the Giants (would never happen)
Wild managed 16 sl games last year.

A high figure for a good back rower. I am not bagging SW, he did a great job at the Giants. Will he hold up for the whole of 2011...and 2012....and 2013? I doubt it.

If you look hard enough you may find someone who gives a s**t what you say. Go away.

| I've heard similar things about both wild and patten from a friend with close acquaintances at hudds. I have no reason to doubt what he's told me. And his info has always been pretty much spot on.

| The more I think about it and having read the club statement about McRae, I come to three conclussions. 1) The club have given McRae a month off and are hoping results improve therefore when he does return the clamour to get rid of him will have died down and they are hoping supporters will sympathise with his 'illness' and lay off him and he will go quietly at end of season. 2) Thye have given him a month off and at the end of that month they will announce he is stepping down due to health reasons or 3) He actually is ill and is juts having a month to recover and will be back.

| The official word is on the club website - they confirm he is ill and will be off for a month.

Both Bailey and Anderson DID NOT have medicals before signing for the club on large contracts. Bailey is unlikely to play due to suffering a torn archilles last year. Anderson had more work done on his back than he should have done and is really in no fit state to be considering playing. All facts.

Utter rubbish. Proof? Or did your gran's dog's brother's owner's next door neighbour's tom cat tell you?

and that will depend upon what the contract says! It would be very interesting indeed to know just how they are written and what provisions are in for situations like this
