| The way I read it is - you pay 50 quid, become a member then pay 130 quid for your season ticket and get an away shirt worth 40 quid - total 180 quid!
or
You pay 50 quid, become a member and get an away shirt worth 40 quid then pick and choose your games for 12 quid per game.
or
You pay nowt, pick and choose your games for 18 quid a game with no free shirt.
Take your pick, I've already worked mine out and it wont involve paying 50 quid!

| The way I see it is that it's £130 for the season ticket.
Also it's £65 if you are a OAP's
Plus you get a free away shirt [While stocks last]
+ Free entry to 4th round Challenge Cup [home or away]
+ Subsidised Admission to the Magic Wekend in Edinburgh
And that mans you could see a full round of Ebnngage Super League games for 'FREE'
And that's all that matters unless you are getting a family ticket under this new scheme.
I think I'm right, and by the looks of it this is the best offer on season tickets that I've ever seen down at The Wllows...

| I think you're wrong James...from reading that blurb it says you pay your £50 to become a member and then this entitles you to apply for cheap season tickets (meaning it costs £180 for one person, £155 for two people etc) as per the following from the website...great for families to be fair but not for the likes of me, Iain, GT and plenty of other die-hards.
How The Scheme Works
1) One family member simply purchases a Family Membership for £50 – this gives their immediate family* a membership card each
2) All members can then buy a season ticket at a hugely discounted rate– adults pay the equivalent of as little as £10 a game, concessions £5 per game and juniors just £2 per game (click link below for full pricing details)
3) Every Season Ticket Holder will receive a free 2010 Away Replica Jersey (while stocks last)
4) Members use their smartcard to access the stadium
*T&Cs apply. Family Membership for £50 covers immediate family – up to two adults (parents /guardians) and any number of children living in the same household. Address will be verified.

| So last year we spent £140 each on season tickets,
this year we spend £130 +£130 +£50
so ours will be £310 for the coming seaosn
rather than £280 paid last year?
I'm sorry but this is just exploting the loyal fans who want to support the club by paying in advance. Every year we miss some games due to hols. Can anyone explain why this is a great deal for those who either don't have kids or they have grown up?

Clearly the offer is to improve attendances by trying to attract more families to attend more games by making it more affordable. This deal makes it cheaper for families to attend more games rather than picking and choosing their matches or having to leave little Johnny with Grandma!
As for picking and choosing the matches you attend, surely if you do this it's pointless for you to have a season ticket if you are only a casual Salford supporter?

I've no idea, do you not think that is part of the problem? I think it depends on your credit rating, employment status and any previous convictions you may have.

I've heard its based on very similar criteria to getting a Visa to get to Nited's game in Moscow in a few weeks time.

ALSO "Walshovski"
Can you tell me how much it will cost for an OAP's ground season ticket for 2010 ?
The reason I ask this is because every year I buy my Uncle a Season Ticket for Christmas and I can't sem to work out how much the cost will be this time around.
Cheers JR...

Why you are grilling me on this, I have no idea hence I posted the question about how much I would have to pay and then made a comment about your overly optimistic posting style and now you are reeling off your yearly Salford expenditure to me.

Depends what answer you get...didn't you ring them this morning to be told they were on holiday, then got told the details were out this arvo???
Maybe this has all been cobbled together since this morning when you first rang...certainly seems half-baked but it's Salford, what more did we expect???

For the 'casual' supporter yes. I wouldn't class myself as one having probably only missed a handful of home games in nearly 30 years, however supporters have never been asked to pay £50 before to become a member and IMO most won't want to with that price structure. As somebody already posted, the season ticket last year was £130, now they want £180 with exactly the same offer, free shirt, challenge cup game and magic weekend, (most cant afford that shananigan anyway)? Do you think thats reasonable?
