| Clearly we have not got a lot going for us based on the comments! Ask Halifax or any other clubs supporters with aspirations to play in the super league, what they would do with the chance?
I know there are many things wrong presently, not least the times we are living in but I still say as a life long supporter the public of Salford do not give a flying .... about Salford.

None of this can hurt.
The Doc is to personally attend schools to enthuse about the club and the very bottom line about free parking will please no end of people as if you currently pay for a ticket and to park it's going to be a quick 20% saving.
Not sure about a Sunday market though and how that raises the profile of the club, but then again you can gaurantee he's not plucked that one out of thin air just for the sheer hell of it.

| Like the idea of the market engages numerous amount of people. Only question is, would the club have a stall on there with me old mate Neville on duty? Wasn't there a mass carboot at the stadium last year that attracted 1000's of paying public yet no sign of SCR presence? Unfathomable to be honest. Whilst I know he is new to the game, I can't helped but feel warm about Koukash's passion for SCR, he's shown more in a couple months than Wilkinson, Tarry and Simms ever did.

| My 2 pence worth on this is:
a) season tickets not on sale; I have had a season ticket pretty much every season so thus have a commitment to go. Both and my misses go so when we look at buying tickets its a case of do we want to spend £40.00 plus parking plus other items to watch salford (normlly ending up at £60.00 ish) or do we stay in an watch super league on tele with a few beers?
b) united and city on the door step is a bigger problem than some people think tbh. My sister and mates have been going for years, got them into it and were happy. struggled on the field, then no season tickets. Utd have now brought out a youngs person season ticket with is about 250 ish (might be cheaper), and in her words you get to watch a winning team.
I honestly think when results start coming in the crowds will come, and when the road is built they will come (soubn like field of dreams ha ha), BUT I think in time it will get better. Its just going to take patience.

not being able to pay on the gate
long queues to get a ticket.
putting prices up on the day and not informing fans its cheaper to pre purchase
cramming away fans into one section when ample room

| The main problems are:-
1.Prices are far too high for a currently poor team shorn of any star names.A regularly failing team.
2.The publicity created by the Dr was great but Noble appointment turned into a no impact yawn by the time it was done.
3.Lots of hot air about big names signings and well to be honest nothing yet.
4.The obvious issues re -the sstadium although these are not as major generally if you have a top team

| Losing top players at the end of last season, meant we were going to have a crap year this season. People wont pay good money to watch bottom of the table rubbish, they will possibly be back next season, depending what signings we make and if we become a WINNING team

| Am I the only person who thinks the match day experience is better at Barton than It was at the willows?
Things that happen at Barton not the willows
Pre match dvd of classic games
Quiz
2 pint pots
Buying beers and food from same place
Interviews with players
Sky sports in the bar
Drink offers
Management accessible and willing to engage with fans
Looks modern with facilities to do other activities on game day on astro turf
The only thing that lets it down is standing behind the goal but the option is there to go on the side from what ive been told more people now sit than stand on a match day

Quite possibly.
One thing that has already been mentioned is the added expense of parking a car! £5 extra will certainly get people flocking to the middle of nowhere!
Free parking should be a huge priority in future.

Unfortunately, many people are still more interested in the match and the all round cost in money and time of attending the match, than watching you sing on karaoke or listening to Highton do a muffled interview in the fans bar.

Karioke didnt quite work as people were not drunk enough / interested and wasnt a positive thats why its not on the list.
Speakers need fixing so we can hear the interviews hopefully with the refurbished new fans bar you might get surround sound installed.
As for parking it is an issue £5 is a lot but what do other super league teams charge? And as for ques getting out that is what the fans bar is for lot of people moaning / not going anymore will they be happy if the parking was free but the cost of a match ticket was a fiver dearer? Why should the dr lose money hand over fist he is a business plan and it wont include losing both money and matches

| Am I missing something or haven't they said in that interview (OK I know it was in the comic) that parking is now free??
Quote: "
As a further incentive to try and entice fans to Barton, Koukash has also decided to offer supporters free matchday parking.
“We need the fans helping us to take the club onwards and upwards,” added Koukash.
“Please come here and support Salford - that’s all I ask.
“The chance to watch superb athletes playing Super League is so appealing and makes for great family entertainment.”'"
Think the fans bar is a decent idea, they are trying to offer pre/post match facilities to mate it a better experience, I'd suggest that if the fans offer ideas for improvements they will listen.
