( Much better that it is done by people other than RFL officials )
According to rlTHISrlit could take months.
As long as the players identified by PV and wanting to come to the club are kept in the loop and still remain patient,no problems.'"
Think you can tell that the people who Wilky brought in to do the overhaul/consultancy are still having an influence, would rather it be done properly rather than being done in a half d Salfordesque manner.

or rather the clubs finances were in such a mess ;-tied up with additional RFL loans , Salford Council loans , it's has taken longer to unravel and settle to the new investors satisfaction , that it had to be ratified by the RFL indicates a change of management /or how close we got to going under.
rlreds poised to announce new backersrl,
looks to me like Salford Council / Peelhave stepped in to safeguard the prime tenant of SCS , and similar to Bradford assurances we'd still be in superleague will have been discussed as part of that investment .
- 'Peel' investment mangement to be in charge of the daily running of the club
- these steps had to be sanctioned by the RFL in order for the Club to participate in SL 2013
- Wilkinson to step down and take the figurehead title Club President
- no official recruitment until all talks have been concluded ( in line with purported ban by RFL on recruitment )
- 8 of the senior squad to be promoted from the junior teams ( minimum club trained required by SL surely )

I accept you certainly know more about this than me but I believe The Sun comic more than the MEN and I would think the RFL involvement is no more than to have their rlFit And Proper Person checkrl
which worked so well at Wrexham and Bradford recently.Bwaaaaaahaaaaahaaaaaa !

| Quote: Bigpev "heard a rumour that it is Red Hot Dutch who are putting the cash in and they promise a whole new match going experience,
I remember that.
They were offering big money, but it didn't fit with the whole 'Family game' thing according to the RFL.
Shame it wouldn't happen now, the RFL are so strapped they'd sell crack to promote SL. Where as we'd be sponsored by crack...

Jonathan Davies?
Weren't we approached by Durex back in the 70's but we turned them down as well due to the family/religious thing? I remember the whole Red Hot Dutch thing, can you imagine

| In the end Durex pulled out because the amount of times Salford's line broke was seen as bad for business.

and BF.
Very poor.
Jonathan Davies himself may indeed be considered a form of birth control.
Alright Paul. Long time between chats.
I don't know about Durex but I am pretty sure we were approached by Jiffy in the late 80s / early 90s. Who knows, it could have been Durex.

Surely the whole Durex thing would have meant an end to pulling out
