Do the club try and have any influence on the booking fees/car park charges etc, or is it a case of bending over and taking whatever the stadium management company throw at us?

Ayyy I've got no anger and I'm in no way lording the chairman up as you seem to suggest, to be really selfish I couldn't give a flying you know what about parking prices. I'm not moaning about any prices in fact. I was just pointing out that the point you referred to had already been made.

In fact I think people moaning about it are going a bit OTT, its a new stadium and you expect to pay a fee. If you want your car to be safe and you want to but guaranteed a safe spot, book in advance pay the charge and get on with it, if you don't find a street to in park and walk.

Many of us moan and complain about the club's failures, but - unlike you - recognise that it's the fault of the 200,000+ Salfordians who don't care about the sport and therefore don't bring money into the club, and not the fault of the handful of people who put substantial amounts of their own money in to keep Salford City Reds alive.

So you’re blaming the people of Salford for the state of the club? Whose decision was it to sell the Willows? Did the club really have to move? Who put the clubs money into the original development then soon as the franchises where granted it folded! Suppose all those where the fault of the fine people of Salford? Anyone remember what the club was like before our previous owner? Since the change over the club has steadily declined. I know I moan allot and it baffling to why people on here can't see it, try looking from the outside in! That would be Keith Snape . he it was who sold the Variety Centre to Greenalls so the club could ' reduce its debts' , but this meant that the club stopped receiving any bar takings which was an integral income for the business, the club had been recording debts for the previous 4 seasons , Keith Snape presided over the sale of our best players to other clubs ie Prescott to Widnes , and the season before Wilkinson took over the team were relegated from Division 1.

In 1967 the club were the leading light in rugby league circles using the takings from the Variety centre and casino to pay for the team on the pitch and despite world known players such as David Watkins signing we still couldn't get more than 6,000 on average through the gates. When the variety centre was sold the revenue stream went with it, so when Snape sold the club were in debt, in fact in 1982 Salford had to raise money to keep going and so was born the SOS Save Our Salford campaign, that JW's first action after becoming Chairman, without that we may not have been on this site discussing transport and parking at the new ground. As foe staying at the Willows, Super League had already indicated that they won't shiny new stadia so no new stadia no Super league franchise.
But for some on this site they won't have to bother with getting to the new ground because they keep stating they are not bothering yet still come on here to moan, why not go and support Warrington or Wigan, these clubs might suit you as they begin with your favourite letter.

I will be bringing a coach load of supporters from Hull when we play Salford. Any idea if coaches are catered for with parking ?

There are coach parking bays just over the new access bridge so I' expect there wouldn't be an issue, had a mooch yesterday and they have started to level all the spare land and put some hardcore over it so I'd suspect that until all the retail unit construction work starts that they will ask you to lob your people off the bus near the new bridge and then have the coaches parked up on that land out of the way.

It would probably be cheaper to park a coach than it will a car
