| FC won 5-0 at home to Newcastle Town in the Trophy yesterday. Barrow, Barrow, you are next.

| With FC playing at 3pm on Sunday, and the draw being made at 12.30pm it means FC are in the hat for the first round draw.

| Too gutted to post last night and still trying to get over it today! Salford City failed to get the better of NW Counties side Irlam in the Manchester Premier Cup last night by going out 6-5 on penalties after 120 minutes of a boring and uneventful 0-0 draw.
The Ammies will be looking to make it four league wins on the bounce when Wakefield are the visitors to Moor Lane this Saturday 23rd October, ko 3:00pm.

| I see the Ammies has another win today against Wakefield (2-1). We've now won our 4 last league games, scoring 12 (Steve Foster, no not the boxer, has got half of them!) and conceding just 2 and now sit joint 8th on the table, some turnaround that. I'm sure TD can give us the match details.

For the second week in succession Salford City bounced back from an abject midweek cup exit to record another excellent league victory. In the latest win against Wakefield the Ammies had to dig deep defensively after being pegged back to 2-1 but a number of personal outstanding performances restored a lot of pride to everyone connected with the club after the midweek shocker against Irlam.
Salford travel to Skelmersdale United this coming Tuesday in a Evo-Stik Presidents Cup 1st Round tie before returning to league action on Saturday with a trip to Woodley Sports.

And FC are in the 1st Round as well. A superb 1-0 win over Barrow this afternoon means they'll travel to Rochdale next round.

As TD mentions ther were some sterling pefomaces across the team yesterday against the giants of Wakefield, Salford players were possibly on danger money for working at high altitude.
Awesome Cayne ( Cayne Hanley) set up both goals and appeared to be favourite for making healines for the non legue press
Citizen Caynes Wakefield ,Cayne fosters new strike partnership with Steve.
Most enjoyable visit to Moor Lane this seaon

| Salford City made their third cup exit in as many weeks with a 4-3 defeat at Skelmersdale United in the President's Cup 1st Round. The Ammies led after 17 minutes through a sweetly struck free kick by Danny Byrne until Skem's 2nd half pressure finally told with a 66th minute equaliser and a 75th minute penalty to go 2-1 up. Danny Bell equalised for Salford on 82 minutes but Skem hit back on 84 and 90 minutes to put the tie out of sight with full back Simon Woodford forcing in a consolation for the Ammies just a minute later. Phew!
With a number of regular first team players missing from the action it proved to be a useful workout for a number of fringe players. My disappointment at the result was more than compensated with the presentation of a bottle of champagne by club President Dave Russell to mark me watching my 100th consecutive Salford City game without a break.

| Salford City claimed their fifth consecutive league win with an excellent 3-2 away win at Woodley Sports. Three stunning goals in the space of 10 minutes from Cayne Hanley (2) and Steve Foster after 38 minutes put the Ammies firmly in control before Woodley pulled one back just before the break. A last minute penalty by the home side made the scoreline look far closer that it actually was with Salford unlucky not to have added at least four more goals to their tally.
Next game is a home league fixture against Cammel Laird on Saturday 6th November at 3:00 pm.

| Not really much of a football fan for a multitude of reasons but my word, if FC get atmospheres like this on a fairly regular basis, I may well have just found myself a team to support properly! Any Salford fans out there wondering what some of our atmospheres have sounded like in the past and how I dearly hope they'll sound again in the future, have a watch of the 2nd half.

Or what a Salford game would/should sound like. How I would love to hear the shed rocking like Spotland rocked last night.
