Loads of people from other clubs make the same comment about most of our players. They wouldn't be as good without a world class *insert position*/team around them, but who the feck makes up this team? Individuals like Gardner.

Meli is not a world class centre. He played at wing on the international scene for New Zealand a millenia ago. However, Gardner has rediscovered his form since playing outside of Meli. Meanwhile, Jamie Foster does wonders outside of Gidley, the 'world class centre' who has had a very poor season this season. He has been pretty terrible sometimes. We switched Gardner's wing a few matches back so he isn't playing outside a world class centre now but he can still pull off some of the best play of his career.

Like I said, and in respect of those points I highlighted, you don't know what you're talking about.

But yes, he is slow. He always has been. Yet he has still been to Old Trafford and got a couple of Wembley winners medals because even with a world class centre inside of him, he still has to catch a ball, he still has to defend well and he still has to score tries!

apart from Ade, who will be another step up for us and along with the rest of the signings, for the first time in years and years I and many others have a great deal of optimism about the coming season, things are definitely looking up for us.

smithy what do you call a big signing because what you call big could be salford signing someone from wigan st pats and were all expecting someone with the calliber of a Jarryd Hayne.

I now understand why con men can be so successful. He knows nothing and people are hanging on his every word. Maybe he saw the big signing in one of his dreams?

Look even if the new signing isnt a so called big name? We should all be glad of the players we've brought in for next year anyway? I mean in the past when have salford signed multiple good players? There normaly jason nicol, jason webber type aussies and ryan clayton simon baldwin types for english players, next year is going to be the first year where we're going to have quality playing for us, and i think we all should be happy to witness that.

I think a lot of the stories published in the press about us are works of fiction. The fact is that the club is still suggesting that we are after one or two more players for next season. That must be good news.

If one is a 'big' signing then the club is quite rightly doing all it can to make sure no details leak out as there seem to have been lots of leaks with some of the other signings we have made in the last six weeks.

Whatever happens we look a lot stronger on paper next season.

That's life I guess . . whatever the club do they will never please everyone all of the time. Some fans just want to offer their opinions and tell everyone they could do certain things better. A lot of the time we are making blind judgements when we don't have all the facts. It's no different on any other club forum. The reality is that things on the inside are never quite the same as they appear from the outside!
