| Quote: Mr James ROwley "Karl has been our first choice full-back for quite some time now.
Can you tell me "Jim Jalfrezi" the last time Karl played at either 6 or 7 for the Reds ?'"
JR, I know he's been our FB for some time now, I just don't think that he's suited to the position. I don't think that he's big enough for FB in todays game. He's a similar size to Paul Fletcher, but that was in an era when most wingers and centres weren't built like brick sh[ii[/ithouses, as most of them seem to be today.
I've always liked Fitzy, he seems to give everything each time he plays.
I just think that his darting runs and support play would be better used in the halfback area. Can't see it happening though, so I'll leave it there.

| you should do everything you can to keep hold of this lad. Luckily for you out of the so called "bigger" clubs wigan have s.tompkins, saints have eastmond, leeds have burrow, bradford are pennyless, hullkr have dobson, etc so most big clubs are covered, but you must wrap him in cotton wool, a class act

Thats what I fear also, but if Wigoon pay a three figure sum for a has been, surely a 18 nearly 19 yr old should demand a huge transfer fee.
Slap that on his head and it will keep the vultures at bay.
[sizeapart possibly from the above named team who have been known to break the salary cap and transfer records to get what they want

| Once again the little genius played beyond his years. The interception and the build up to robbies try will stay with me for a long time. The only problem now is to tie the lad up so he can deliver us to the promised land or a new stadium

| With the Salary cap and a recession, the probability of a club stepping in with a big money offer isnt as high as in the past.
The key for Salford will be to improve next season so the lad can see a long term future at the club.
If your cellar dwelling next year, he will be off to somewhere more glamorous. However if you manage to do something like Cas are doing, then there will be no reason to up sticks and leave.
Hope you keep hold of the lad and it helps you grow as a club.
Cant have it going back to the old days were the Wigans and Leeds of this world would just splash the cash as soon as any small club developed a decent youngster.
