I wouldn't say it was the biggest game of the season. Disappointing, yes, but not the end of the season just yet.

Unless we end up in mpg, then I think it is. Even if we scrape 8th, we have 0 chance of mating it to ot. (Unless we have all 6 points reinstated )
There are only 2 comps to win, we are now out of both

| It's like groundhog day at the minute. Our games follow one of two patterns. We either blow teams away first half and get reeled in (sometimes holing on, sometimes not) or we have games like today where we turn up half d making silly errors, indisciplined and unable to complete or defend a set of 6. Very frustrating.

| Absolute dog anyone who has a positive to make out of that needs to have a long hard look at themselves.
The only thing that shower played for is a week off !! ffs Cas were in intensive care playing roster wise playing against a full strength Salford side, I won't mention missing a hooker as we don't have one as Mcshane proved. Some of Salfords players were embarrassing beyond belief.
Lets wait till the pitches firm up eh ?
Ow well only three more years before we celebrate half a century since we last seen Wembley.

| It certainly wasn't a full strength Salford team and apart from the half backs the Cas team was stronger than most are saying. But we should have won that game. Cas played brilliantly considering they had no half backs. they showed how to get past that - run hard, off load, tackle hard.
Our defence was beyond bad. We had slightly more position than them first half but they made 150m more than us. I reckon most of that was after the collision. How many times did we have 3 men in the tackle but didn't stop them or get them down. We will never win anything defending like this
In attack we were clueless. Dobson had his worst game for us I think. He's been so good recently but was error ridden today. Carney, Sau and BMM were the only ones who looked bothered going forward. O'Brien tried hard but Cas shut him down really well. I think only twice did the Dobsob-Lui-O'Brien link work
Very, very disappointing

| Im not sure how you can say apart from our halfbacks our team was strong. We had -
1. Dorn
3. Shenton
6. Roberts
7. Gale
8. Lynch
12. Oli Holmes
plus a couple more from our bench squad. We were in bits but found a way to win.

| If nothing else, the game showed the incompetence on the video referee system yet again.
However, we have been on the receiving end of similarly bad decisions so it was about time one went our way!

| Tbh I feel they evened themselves out, as the try shortly after which wasn't given for the pull I felt was soft.
For me the turning point, as early as it was, was dobbo not letting the ball go out on the full. Said it at the time, felt we could have got a roll on there.

It was baffling listening to Silverwoods comments while he was reviewing the footage. It was as clear as day that the ball wasn't grounded but he couldn't se that. The whole system is strange anyway. If the ref says on field decision is a try, shouldn't that be the end of it? Clearly if he then has to refer it to the video ref he isn't sure so shouldn't be saying on field decision is a try in the first place.

Later in the game footage was shown with the zoom lens which clearly showed the ball had not been grounded, simple question why was Silverwood denied these pictures when he was reviewing the try?

| Anybody with half decent eyesight didn't need the zoom lens. That was the key turning point in the game.

We were poor from the point of Dobson's brainfart leading to the dropout but for me the turning point was not scoring after 5 back to back sets. Virtually straight after there was the penalty for the tackle in the air which led to McShane scoring. That just knocked whatever stuffing we had left right out of us.

Noticed that Chiss and thought exactly the same myself. I wondered if Child had been told that Milners was a try and was trying to even things up. It does happen.
