| I don't think we can underestimate what Sheens is trying to do with the playing side of things. He comes from an environment where 'player power' rarely happens. In the NRL players come and go and it's part of the game and system. He's obviously identified a problem at Salford in this regard and is quite happy to let go of players that he sees as the wrong type of people for the Club. I for one trust his judgement. I think the side you'll see next season will have a distinctly different look and feel to this one, and I think we may see some progress in our consistency. I'm not overly fussed about big names either. What I want next year is for Salford to show stability on and off the field. No dramas. Less bad press. More quiet progress.
As for the comings and goings, like 'northmanchesterdevil' said, apart from Evalds, I wont be shedding too many tears about many others if they go.

| For me losing the following would be a bad thing.
Evalds, Griffin (all 3 for me), Sa'u, Johnson (for his pace not a fan of the man himself), MCB (I still think he has much more potential than he realises), BJB (a full injury free season would have seen him score a hatfull), Hood, Patterson and Krasniqi.
Chase is an enigma, brilliant but prone to brain farts, I think that Sheens will be very aware of what he brings to the team going forward on match days but also very aware of the issues that follow him away from the field. I would still go to Hull and ask for a straight swap for Taylor but doubt it's a starter as he wants to move to Hull for family reasons.

Can't disagree with that, I would however add "and Taylor" if he wasn't off to Hull

| A name not mentioned but I'd see if Justin Hodges wanted 1 season in SL, watching him for the Broncos and he is the type of calming lead by example player who would be a tremendous signing for next year.
If Sheens is staying for me that would be an incredible combination to bring solidity when there is obviously going to be a great many new signings.

| Willie Mason said he is considering an offer from overseas, given that Salford have lost Tasi, Morley & Taylor, he could possibly be a new recruit.

We went there, messed him about, didnt really perform to start with. Now 4 years older than then. Big money.
The thing i personally think Salford fans and owner need to realise is that splashing the cash is for football. You need good honest players, who fit what you are trying to do. Without that, big money players will do knack all...like they have been.
No disrespect to Castleford but they have it spot on, superstars...not really, but they have been riding high for 2 years on the back of great recruitment and some young kids. Players that fit their way of playing. The Dr wants to sign Sam Burgess, aside from PR whats the point? Would he make that much difference himself for the cost? when you need a halfback, 2 backs, 2 props etc

| I've no idea what he smokes, if at all. I do not think he's a Salfordian and would guess he's not. I do know he favours Kyle Eastmond's return to RL. So don't assume this is part of a Santa's list from a Salfordian.
