I think we all knew just how difficult it would be when Chase got banned for 7 games and Dobson got injured again. I think what it has highlighted is the importance of the above two players to us. Without them in tandem we offer no real attacking threat without the exception of Cory Patterson. Our centres are like back row forwards that run and tackle hard but offer no service and our speedy wingers who are completely starved of the ball. The only time BJB and Johnson have the ball is to make forward relieving drives out of our own 40. Furthermore, without Tasi and Hock (since he left) our forwards haven't been offloading the ball but has this been an instruction from Harris not to take any risks?
I think the worst part about Saturday for me wasn't the expected defeat it was the dull and monotonous tactics and the fact we didn't have the ability to change them when we were playing catch up. I know the club are very disappointed with the attendances this year but its hardly surprising when the entertainment value is zero. Does anyone think that Harris could be enforcing an overly structured game plan that's frustrating the players and resulting in indiscretions.

| Injuries and suspensions have killed us, no question about that. Dobson and Chase are the first two you think of, but don’t forget Kevin Locke either (how much of our salary cap missing in just those three players? I would say they’re all our highest earners). Josh Griffin was probably the form centre in the competition until his injury, the Widnes game will have done him the world of good as he looked knackered after 60 minutes. The in-out situations with Paterson, Sa’u and Hauraki have caused us problems too.
I’m not blaming these reasons for our 7 straight defeats though, Harris must take some of the blame for this through his selections. We’ve been far too predictable and easy to beat ever since the Leigh game i.e close down Theo and game over.
He deserves more time, purely because of what he appeared to be achieving up to the Easter period. The clock is ticking though and if we don’t make the 8 again he deserves to be sacked (if Marwan chooses to).

It's a 'wait and see' situation at the moment with the only news being about players departing the club. I honestly think we could find ourselves in one hell of a battle to stay in Super-league considering the recent announcement of Brian Smith as new coach at Wakefield and Leigh currently riding the crest of a wave. It will also be interesting to see how many Warrington fringe players will end up at Wakey come the relegation playoffs.
Let's face it we have an injury prone squad, the worst discipline in the competition and a tendency not to get the 50
Quite a few I would imagine.

I fully expect a coach of Brian Smith's calibre to have a very positive impact at Belle Vue. It may take him a few weeks to make his mark but I'm sure he will get a positive reaction from the players. I think Wakefield with the addition of a few loan players from Brian's brother Tony will be a totally different proposition come the play-offs.

| I agree with you that he will have a positive effect but I think it may take longer than a few weeks.

| Harris was never the right man for the job winning or losing!!! I feel sorry for the doc who ever is advising him really needs a slap to the chops!! Half of the salford faithful have never played a game at a good level to understand what they need! It shows watching nrl under 20s we wouldn't be mid table in that league!!

| I see the knives are out especially from new posters.
JGR`s points are valid except getting into the top 8 - I feel if we see improvement again IH should stay. Dobson is here for 3 more years and will play a vital part & Rangi`s return will see us play some expansive RL.
Salford fans - a good percentage of the younger element especially are far too impatient - look back to Easter when we were 4th before all the hassle we have endured - we never heard a squeak from them then.
Stick with it and stick with IH for me.

| I think the destiny of Harris will be determined by how the team perform in the promotion/relegation playoffs. I think a top 8 finish is out of reach now considering our remaining fixtures. A top 2 P/R playoff finish and he probably gets another shot, anything else and he could be out. Hopefully by the relegation split point in August we will have our halfbacks match fit & firing with fewer players serving bans or lay on the treatment tables.
I think Harris and his staff must start preparing now and doing their homework on our potential playoff opponents. I think what is absolutely vital is avoiding an 11th or 12th place finish so we get the advantage of an extra home fixture and an easier draw.
I think the focus now is ensuring SL survival, putting yet another disappointing year behind us and hopefully coming back stronger in 2016. I also believe it would be suicide to sack Harris now considering the disruption it would cause when you consider the big challenge ahead.

| I'm convinced that Harri's future lies in the hands of Sheens.
The Doc obviously holds (rightly) Sheens in very high regard and will take his counsel, if Sheens were available for the head coaches role you'd say that the Doc would be remiss if he didn't appoint him.
If on the other hand Sheens saw enough in Harris to suggest he has what it takes you'd think the Doc will take the guidance offered.

Are you suggesting Harris could survive purely on Sheens advice if we got relegated? It's usually disillusioned supporters voting with their feet that influences an owner to make a change.

Not relegated but now, we are obviously struggling and I'd be shocked if the Doc hasn't been in contact with Sheens on a regular basis since he was over here.
