| Decent shout that Mr Woo ( Presume you are a window cleaner for George Formby?) as I remember Liam Hood scoring a cracking tie on his debut. No better than Owen for me though in my opinion.

| Going by what posters are saying on this thread it looks like McShane.
Maybe a swap fro Smith?
He'd certainly fit in with Harris's aggressive approach.

| Smith for McShane?
That would be like buying a £1 for a penny.
McShane is no better than the options we have for me.
The only reason I guess we'd go for him is he'll be on less thsn Smith so free up cap space and it's doubtful Wakefield could afford a fee for him.

I may have cleaned one or two in my time seem to remember the try although given by the ref being at touch short.
Not sure what went on at leeds with him I used to watch alot of rhinos academy games and he was a real talent back then but ended up walking out halfway through a 4 yr deal

Problem is the £1 didn't work in our slot machine MR , although it's still legal tender in Wakefield ...
I actually wanted McShane over Lee last season when he became Surplus to Leeds requirements .
still not 25 and will do a job without completely ruling out a way through for Owen .
No idea if he is on Harris radar but some sort of deal will have to be struck for Smith at some point.

That has too be a lie, I mean there is someone on another thread who is the oracle who says we have only let Matty Ashurst go because we have spent the full cap allowance so unless where paying Hood in washers he can't have signed.
I'd have preferred us to go for a more established player but I'll trust in Harris's judgement as he's done well with who he has brought in so far and I doubt any of us would have though Griffin would have done so well.

Its no lie mate the only way it wont happen is if hunslet wont let him out of the deal he signed a few weeks ago for next year which wont happen as theyve told him they wont stand in his way if a super league club come in for him as for the salary cap cant imagine he would be on more than about 30k a year

You're right ,it's a bit underwhelming.
As regards the cap,we must be pushing it close but I don't think releasing Ashurst necessarily means we can't afford him, just that funds are allocated to a new player in a different position.

Doubt he'll even be on that CW.
When you spend the money we have on the Likes of BJB -Locke Dobson etc,you have to shop smart for the other squad players .dispite these high profile players Salford have an eye for SL players who dropped down a division but still fairly young with potential -Johnson - Walton -Josh Griffin- Liam Hood fits that bill I guess.
