I don't know the in's and out's of the Johnson case but I believe he was punished and has a right to move on with his life. You do realise that you are doing the same thing for Murphy in this thread. The only thing anyone wants to debate was whether a RL player deliberately harmed another RL player. Most have said that it looked deliberate, others have said they didn't see. Only you are saying that he couldn't possibly have done it. Dragging in either players personality or history does nothing for the argument. It literally makes no difference in this case.

Did player A get his jaw broken by player B? Was it deliberate? That's all there is to debate on the subject.

The judgement on the breaking of the jaw will be tough as Johnson had 2 lots of treatment prior to leaving the pitch. Should have left the field the 2nd time and been checked thoroughly.
Instead 2 Salford 'medics' kept the player kneeling on the touch line deliberately holding the game up. refusing the leave the field.

When Chase smashed Ropati's jaw he got 3 matches. Even if Murphy did something it doesn't come close to the Ropati hit.
