| Promo code chant was still active on the RLWC site which also gives you a 50% discount , dearest I paid on there for a ticket was £7.50.
Had an e mail the Lowry offering a 30% discount for Scotland V USA game, worth signing up for as you get offers of discounts for events at the venue.

I doubt it.
Quote: Red-Devils-PAW "As I mentioned earlier I tried to buy tickets for the West stand but couldn't. Are they only opening the East and South? If so we'll be lucky to get over 2k.'"
My ticket is for the East Stand. I bought it alongside the Autumn International Final last year.

I do find it dispiriting that whenever there are low attendances the club and supporters are used as the focus of criticism.
The stadium management and the local council hardly cover themselves in glory or give the impression of making any great effort.
Up in the geographically challenged, old fashioned stadia,non-Super League clubbed, cash strapped area of Cumbria the local council have got off their backside and demonstrated a scintilla of interest.

Budget Cuts ain't affected them. They have seized the initiative to impress and be rewarded.
It goes beyond what the club and supporters can do.
Still time...

| Official updated line from the stadium via facebookOfficial Salford City Stadium
You can buy RLWC2013 tickets from the stadium for any of the competition matches!
Please be aware, as we only have one computer set up for this we are only able to offer this when Wendy, our ticket office manager is in, generally 10-6 midweek. You can always call the stadium on 0844 844 8400 and book over the phone or to check if Wendy is in before you set off.'"
As you pay a booking fee either way, and can use discount codes online, the world cup website looks the easiest option.

| I've just tried both the "BOC" and the "chant" codes and they are both working for the games at Leigh and the final, offering 50% off but neither seems to be working for the game at Salford, for whatever reason.

Hang about... Earlier you were suggesting people were jumping the gun on how well it's been plugged and that an earlier campaign to get people through the doors would have been counter-productive. Now you're suggesting the council haven't done enough and should have been pushing it? Make your mind up.

Was it saying that no tickets are available that match your request, or just putting them is your basket without the discount?

Good point;well made
It does seem ambiguous on my part but that was in response to criticism of the club regarding the sale of tickets to our regular supporters.I expect a big push on that after the games on Sunday,or for a walk-up incentive nearer the time. Our club has it's own priorities regarding attendances.
To push the game onto the non-regular supporters in a far wider context should be the responsibility of the stadium management and the council, after all the stadium does not hold many events and is apparently struggling financially so it should be at the top of their agenda.
There have been suggestions regarding this World Cup for an England supporters group etc. but what did seem a good idea was the clubs providing transport for the games.I don't think any Super League club has done this,or provided a coordinated effort to support all of the games.

Not showing the discount when they are in the basket. Will have another try now.

| I booked my tickets last night (Oct 30th) and then some more this morning when texted and emailed mates responded that they wanted to come along. None of the codes I tried "BOC", "DANCE" and "CHANT" worked to give me discount, but at a tenner each and a fiver for the kids, we ain't complaining!
I think the popularity of the World Cup matches is hitting a fever pitch and the USA vs Scotland game at your place is looking to be a GREAT prospect of a game if previous RLWC games are to be judged.
This'll be my first visit to your new stadium, so I would like some advice on where to park, please? {possibly a sell out so I doubt I'll get on the on-site car park???}

| Another 7k attendance at a game held in a non-Super League stadium, without a Super League club in the area, last night for USA V Cook Islands.
Two councils were involved and seem to have galvanised and motivated the public to attend.

Went down to the ground today. Apparently the East stand is sold out, i think it holds about 2,500. West stand is going well, with walk up on the day, and the good results and performances of Scotland and the USA, there could be quite a good crowd. I also think it be quite a good game
