Utter rubbish no way would rfl do this as the crusaders situation was completely different. Their whole team was made redundant so rfl had no choice. Smith is one player not a whole team so doubt very much he's exempt from quota.

Really impressed with Pulutua last Friday at Leeds, thought he went up a level when he needed to in this fixture.
The signing of Tasi will provide more competition for places and give us more depth. If Nobby can get everyone in great shape physically and mentally I can see us ruffling a few feathers in 2014. I really hope Emmitt, Ashurst, Dixon and the promising young lads like the Walne Brothers and Will Hope can rise to the challenge and provide real competition for places in the forwards.

Don't shoot the messenger I'm just pretty sure that's what I'd read somewhere.
I can see why they would have done this just not sure if I think it's right if true. Nor for that matter do I agree that we are increasing the number of foreign players allowed per team while looking to reduce the number of academy teams. The player drain down under is bad enough but when we run the risk of getting second rate imports it for me just compounds the issue,

| I'm sure Ashurst and Dixon could do a job, but why should we settle for players just doing a 'job' when we have an owner who's prepared to splash some cash? I'm not saying we go and put an offer in for Sean O'Loughlin but a specialist 13 would be nice. I also agree that in another coupe of years Jordan Davies could grow into a decent Super League 13, he certainly has all the potential attributes.
I seen that article and to thought he would do. At the moment we only have Danny Williams and Greg Johnson, one which isn't top 6 quality and the other unproven in Super League. We'd be crazy to run with just those two.

| According to the Hull FC forum Briscoe is so keen to get away from Hull that he is going to Leeds for £90k a year even though Hull offered him £110k a year to stay.

Well then, get ready to be surprised.Thats exactly what has happened. The RFL have discretionary powers to basically do whatever they feel is for the good of the game.In this case they took the view that Salfords money was better used to pay the wage bill at Wakey rather than stop the deal due to Quota/Non Fed Issues.
If you dont believe me then go on the Wakey Forum and ask Daddy Cool, who is actually their new Chairman.

So you dont know the full story then!?
Hull offered a contract, they waited for the Cronulla deal to finalise, they waited and waited, and we withdrew our contract offer on the date we said he had to sign it. The NRL deal fell through, he came back to the club to sign to be told his money had been spent elsewhere. Same as the Shaun Briscoe situation a few years ago when his agent told him to not sign as he expected International honours hence could demand more money.

BJB was promised a run at fullback for Leeds last year, but that chance went to Hardaker. When Leeds then asked about Briscoe, BJB reportedly spat his dummy out and doesn't want to be just a cover player for fullback/wing ...... and hopefully (from my point of view), that's were Wire come in, especially as Hodgsons knee wont take another full season at fullback.

| I'd imagine Warrington will line up something like this next season;
1. B. Jones-Bishop
6. S. Ratchford
7. R. Myler
9. D. Clarke*
An excellent, young and British spine of a team.
*unless as part of the deal, they loan him back to Castleford for 2014 (as is expected).

| Ratchford is not a 6 at very highest level but he could be a phenomenal full back, because he's a class act and brilliant broken play runner.
