Anybody heard anything about Richie Mathers signing?

Rumour is we have made an approach to Catalan for Theo's mate Morgan Escare.

Senior players aside and with an eye on the future has anyone heard any news recently on young player recruitment for 2014? Has Alan Hunte with the financial backing of our owner been able to lure any wonder kids from under the noses of the usual suspects?

Can't see it, we already have Noble, Donlan and Hay. I always liked Malc, but he didn't cover himself in glory when leaving the club and things said in his book by all accounts (although I must confess I haven't read it). So I wouldn't have thought he would be welcomed back with open arms.

The reason I asked about Mathers is an ex player who I encounter in work from time to time has told me on more than one occasion that we've signed him. No idea if its bs or not but he told me the coaching job was between Noble and Smith way before the press got wind of it.

I didn't think Noble & Mathers got on together.

Some people are so unimaginative and dull with their posts, that when they try to be ironic, or sarcastic, or god forbid, witty. That what they say comes across as verbal effluence or the exact opposite of what they intended. Add to this the ability of the Turkey to attract the most subnormal opposition fans possible. I'm talking about real life knuckle-draggers who somehow manage to dress themselves in the morning. Who come on here with their 'witty' caricature of our Chairman. Cashcow, Dr Cash, Ming etc etc like they're the first time we've heard that particular retort from their vast intellect. Repeating the same old tired attempts to make their sad lives feel a spark of living instead of having to masterbate crying in loneliness at their keyboard like most days.
