Well, it's obvious isn't it? He isn't really a multi-millionaire, just a GP from St Helens. You've told us that. I bet he got his doctorate from one of those correspondence courses. In fact, I bet he isn't even a real GP. I bet he's an aromatherapist or something.
Now the scales have fallen from our eyes, we can all see the truth, thanks to [iyou[/i, BrianBradyHandOff. You're [iace[/i.
Or maybe Brian Noble isn't the target. Just maybe. Or maybe he doesn't conduct job interviews in radio studios. No. He's an aromatherapist.'"
Good stuff RJ.
Maybe we can get the new players on the National Health then.

He was national coach when Long walked out at the Tri-Nations 2006.
I believe his salary was paid by the RFL when he was at Crusaders and it was the RFL who had found the south Wales club a new home and new owners in Wrexham.( That went well ! )'"
In fairness the Crusaders finished 8th in 2010. Surely Noble can't be held accountable for the people of Wales not supporting the team in enough numbers to make it a viable Superleague club.
As for Vievers maybe assistant coach was his level? . . . as for Longy he did have a tendency in his younger years to go off the rails from time to time.

Not a good idea we don't want to give that political rag any more ammunition. Hopefully we can afford to go private now

The connections you make between events get more and more spurious every post. What possible negative reflection could the RFL moving Crusaders to Wrexham have on Noble?

| Quote: Red Willow "Bradford won things because they had a huge pack who ran over the top of other teams, Noble always lacked a plan b. Once teams used small nippy players to evade his pack they lost out.'"
Ludicrous oversimplification.
You can't win a game unless you're on top in the forwards. This applies to all teams of all eras. As far as lacking a plan b is concerned that was always a load of tripe. There were plenty of games we won thanks to the flair of the Paul brothers, or Leon Pryce or Michael Withers or Shontayne Hape but the Bulls success got chalked up to the forwards on their own because people like to clutch at straws. If the Bulls had no plan b it doesn't say much for the opposition.

| We could only wish for a head coach of Nobles stature prior to Koukash's arrival. However I would still find it an underwhelming appointment should it happen, we don't need to 'settle' for Noble.

Sorry.I don't know how you read my post or what connotations you took from it.
I wrote it out as a slight fear of deja vu.Although I am certain Dr Koukash differs completely from Moss and Roberts at Wrexham;the fact the RFL were involved in both ownerships is slightly disconcerting.I am sure my fears will be dispelled very quickly.
While I was quite impressed with Noble and his 'preparing for George Foreman and getting George Formby' quote, and his earlier success,I do recall him at Wigan, after months of speculation of him going to Crusaders, after their defeat to Warrington in the Challenge Cup semi-final,that when the cameras went into the dressing room/sheds,he was seen holding his head in his hands. He was not consoling the players and Clare Balding very sharply changed the subject.
I was surprised Ian Lenagan did not renew his contract at Wigan yet Noble coached Crusaders to a far higher finish than Harris did the following season, and then Lenagan took Harris to Wigan.
Having read on this forum the comments about our players not being wanted by other clubs/not being good enough for other clubs,I am slightly surprised that a coach not employed in Super League,at this time, should be given such support.

My point was that many teams have a big pack, as opposed to just Bradford in the late 90's. of course it's important to have a big strong pack but to say this is the only requirement for success is an oversimplification. I'm fairly sure Greg Eden and Danny Brough would agree with me too.

My thoughts entirely. Wouldn't moan if he was appointed but would feel a tad underwhelmed.

| The bigger and more aggressive the pack the more room to move the backs behind them have.
I'd guess if we had Nobles Bradford pack playing for Salford last season our back line would have got us a decent top 8 finish.
The more I think about it the more I think Noble is being courted as he has a decent record in knock out rugby and that the Doc sees a tilt at the cup as the best chance of early results.
Guess the question is would we as fans like to see hard earned grafting wins on a regular basis or a team trying to out score the opposition with a lower win ratio for a good couple of years.

Stop messing about. Look at your results this season to date. Whilst you have only played 7 games how many of those defeats could you have turned into wins? I, hand on hart can't see you winning the cup unless the draw is unbelievably kind and you play championship teams throughout the competition.

I don't recollect stating that only a big pack was needed.

| Does anyone else begin to think the Noble interview the other night was a PR thing.Surely he could have had Noble signed ,sealed and delivered by now.I don't think Noble is a certainty buy any means.

Makes you wonder if something else is going on. So yes, I think you may be barking up the right tree.
