| Quote: Michigan red "The reference earlier to a full back signing today where does this come from?
Would be nice if it were Fishiai (sp).'"
Koukash was interviewed on the radio after the game. Said that we had someone who was on the verge of signing but couldn't name them yet and it should hopefully be announced today.
He was pretty scathing with his comments, saying that last night was unacceptable and that anyone who wasn't putting in the effort would be out the door.

These guys are full time professionals.
The Clubs instructions to players clearly need to be amended'"
Anyone who's played at a decent level will tell you there is nothing worse than hanging around before kick-off. Some players can't speak to anyone. Some players throw-up. It's like waiting to go 'Over the top'. It would be bad practice for a Club to insist that all its playing staff turn up extra early on the off chance that there'll be a massive accident on the motorway. Also pretty ludicrous. Best place for a player is where he can relax and get ready with his own private thoughts before a game. Not hanging around the place for no reason.
People banging on about Broughton need to think with a little more head and less heart. Some circumstances are beyond everyone's control.

| Having followed Salford for 45 years I am used to losing, but it is the manner in which we lose that gets to me. I know when a player has sweated blood for the shirt and when he hasn,t. Big disappointment was the last game at the Willows with so many stay away fans getting to the game and witnessing the same old story. Half the team didn,t give a toss. I just hope that the good Dr can instil a winning mentality into the club and this is crucial in our recruitment policy. I love PV but not sure whether he is the right man to organise and motivate a team of big name players (all with egos) to bring success we are craving for.

are none of you worried by the phrase...."i havent come here to sit and watch games like tonight?"
however much you like to mock Wires and Moran, with Moran being a lifelong fan even before he made his millions he would never say that.......
I'm sure you can interpret it as koukash setting extremely high standards and not putting up with rubbish, but it could be interpreted as: "if it all turns to poop I'm off ...... I'm not a boyhood fan of this rubbish?"

| I think it's just the way you interpret it. It can be inferred both positively and negatively. Don't think he'll walk, he's not that kind of bloke.

| If it was just about watching matches he could have bought a season ticket, which would have been (marginally) easier than buying the club. He's bought the club with the intention of making it successful, and I'd interpret his comments about last night's game in that context.

| I think the Dr's comments were very much directed at his coaches and players. He's setting the bar high and won't accept performances like last night.

| Well hes here for at least 5 years as he has signed up to the CVA.
In my opinion He was right to comment `publicly` as being `open` is always the best policy.

No - not worried by the quote
No - Never mocked Warrington for SJM , only for nicking everyone else's players ....
No - he's made a high profile promise to Salford fans to deliver a winning team , Money is not as important as the honour of delivering on that vow. He's more likely to move on once he's acheived something .
I don't believe he has set extremely high standards just to see a hardworking competitive team capable of a much higher league position ,I am worried by the volatility & it's not going to be an easy ride to play & coach at Salford under our new owner , maybe thats a good thing after excepting mediocraty & low expectations for decades.

| Poor poor performance , been going to salford for 35 years and one of the most toothless performances I've seen . No spark , less imagination and not a single sight of aggression

I totally agree no aggression being the main one! We need a team of hard nuts not soft lads jewitt and McPhearson are the only 2 this year that have shown some biff!

Let's just agree to disagree.
Hanging around is the worst part but,if this were to happen to a professional soccer player or,dare I say it, Union player,it would be regarded as totally unacceptable .
It's not just the head and heart equation.
This is a professional sport and needs to be respected.
By the way, closures on the M62 on Friday afternoons are not exactly rarities.

| Christ take them down to Boysnope to the driving range if they need anything to do.
I'd be more inclined to get a sports psychologist in to talk to them before the games and try to instill a little more self belief.
Bottom line is a more professional attitude would to have the squad together all day, controlled diet and more chances for hand on the shoulder personal coaching.

| I think it tells you everything you need to know when your hardest running player is a 32 year old centre. Lets hope it was just a blip and the lads can turn things around next week.
