How many times do you notice red, blue or white sports tops when you walk down the street?
You don’t because there are so many of them.
However, the new shirt will stand out and be a little bit of advertising for the club every time people wear it. And we all know we need all the help we can get with marketing!

Is`nt the colours of Salford City originally green and beige? I remember the old Salford City buses being decked out in them same colours,anyway its not the colour of the shirt you play in its how you play in the shirt that matters.

Spot on Salford Corporation Buses were green, and they can wear any colour they like if they perform in it.
We know which buses they'll use for away travel 
Also remember the Salford Grammar Rugby tops were Green , tenuous I know
Perversely it may be quite popular , it's certainly polarising opinion , I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it in the flesh so to speak , If Heineken were our sponsors I'd understand!
Obviously Canberra is the most famous team with a green top, but I remember Bradford doing a Green Away kit afew seasons ago , also Widnes won a world Club Challenge sporting green,
Huddersfield's is truely bizzare, especially those questionable white blotches  not exactly Stade Francais |

Jez,thats brill Middleman,when i played for Salford schoolboys many years ago i`m sure we played in green,is it true you guys at grammar played union? I only ask because one off the grammer school lads came and played League with us.
