| RR all to do with money, something the club and its owners don't have a lot of compared to other Super League teams. the problem with the willows was that we could not develop retail around it to fund the team, now we are at Barton with exactly the same problem with no space to develop retail at the present time to fund the team. So the only way we can do this is to get more bums on seats to fund the team, and the only way to do that is by the product on the field.
OR a rich superfan emerges who can take over and inject the millions needed just like down the road at Warrington.

We're not going to get any income from the future retail in the bags of space at Barton anyway are we? Those Red City Developments days are gone.

Think your wrong there as on the front of the building today (not sure for how long it's been there) there is a clear retail outlet with a sign over it saying club shop, now that might be a joint thing for Salford and Sale but a proper decent store rather than a knocked through living room on Willows Road has got to be a good thing.

| No I meant a retail park like West One or the Lowry Outlet where the shop rents help towards the cost of the Lowry Theatre, Salford did have the same idea, until public enquiry and then credit crunch, not the club shop.

| A bit OT but at work today I felt genuinely embarrassed to be a supporter.
My manager had under his desk Warringtons new home shirt. I looked closer and found the price tag....£49.99
He ordered it online 3 weeks ago. To add insult to injury upon further inspection I found it was the WOMAN'S home shirt! He got it for his wife for crimbo. Ordered online and had it delivered to work. It hit me how big a chunk the club is missing out on. I know our shirts wouldn't be orderd in the masses online but surely they could give it a chance.
I also live in St.Helens and on my travels thru the shopping centre last week I was gob smacked to see a que of 100+ ppl outside the Saints shop pouring out into the street for the new shirt.
Then as I was filling up at the new (gigantic) Tescos on Langtree Park only to catch a glimpse of 200+ at 8 AM in Monday morning queuing for season tickets. I asked the lady at kiosk who said ppl were queing for season tickets - probably for crimbo presents for there loved ones.
Our club as everyone is already aware really needs to try allot harder in all the above departments.....Jesus

| Surly its not even "hard" to have those things ready? Just a basic knowledge of some kind of marketing/business acumen would do!

We did do woman's fit shirts in 2006. I remember all the mickey taking when David Gower ended up playing in one after he arrived mid season and couldn't get a close fitting man's shirt in his size.
Not having shirts out for xmas is clearly an income stream missed. It's not the sort of thing I'd typically spend my money on, but at this time of the year when I'm struggling to think what I'd want for xmas, I'd have asked a relative for a jersey if it was decent. My birthday's not until August, practically the end of the season, so I wouldn't be asking for one then. Christmas is the only gift buying time of the year that's good for everyone when it comes to a new jersey.

| Someone has posted a picture of Joel Moon in a "Salford shirt" on Facebook, I won't post it on here as I have no idea if it's a legit image, but judging by the person who has posted it, I think he's got a slight insiders knowledge!

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

sounds legit , Quote: king of the shed "Salford Facebook - "We did ask people not to post it on twitter until tomorrow but apparently that's too much to ask. Ah well" about an hour ago · 2'"
still intent on keeping it a well guarded secret , until tomorrow I guess

| Seen it as well now thanks to the power of facebook. I like it! Quite plain, but simple clean and distinctly salford. The collar is a bit meh! But I can live with that. Now when can I go buy one?
