| The odd mention of a protest tbh I think the fans need to take action on a large scale and try and force some change at the club I can't see people with burning pitch forks etc but summat somewhere needs to be done i.e boycott games or don't turn up for the Leigh friendly etc

That tells us all we need to know. Once again the club treat us like e! they don't deserve our money or our support.

| I don't know the ins and outs or the who and why's. All I know is that it's incredibly bad timing on so many levels. Pre-season started, new season around the corner. It feels like a bad joke atm. Salford as a Club need to take a long hard look at themselves and ask themselves whether they really do want to make a difference, or stay as an old boys Club with no clue about anything.
I feel we have been the latter for too long and fear the former will never happen.

| the statment is rubbish as well from the club website.
"Matt leaves the club in a much stronger position than he found it on the field, with what the club believes to be one of the strongest and most innovative coaching setups in Super League"
are you having a laugh, hes won one game since being at salford! and to tell us nothing more about what happend must show theres something going on behind closed doors at the club.Wilky i know simms is part of your family but for god sake no one wants him at the club, all other managers have left apart from him WHY????

Whilst there was every chance he could have ended up as a dud from a coaching point of view, at least he had the foresight to see what was wrong at the club and try and change it. What's the best we can hope for now? Someone promoted from within or another one of Simms mates (a la Mcrae) who won't rock the boat.

| I like us all don’t know the full facts but as the website as stated, perhaps there are genuine personal reasons and nothing more. I know really unlikely but still we just don’t know.
He clearly wasn’t meant to be for us and we now have to move on. I know were all panicking about nobody wanting the job but are you saying there is no one out there who wants a seat at the top table? We are after all a Super League club for the next 3 years, we have a brand new stadium and all the facilities that come with it, a mid-table squad at present so someone, somewhere is already rubbing their hands at the thought of getting a shot at this.
The other thing is, there’s certain comments on social networking sites that seem to imply that he might not be missed as much internally as externally which is the most important thing.
Get Powell in and have Long / Vievers / Hunte as his back room team. I would take that anyday.

| I have nothing positive or optimistic to say about salford rlfc and the men who are incharge of running the financial part of it
The bright light at the end of the tunnel was our big chance and it has now passed us by
Think small and you will be small and eventually disappear

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr:7891.jpg |

| 1) Terrible appointment to start with (just speak to people inside the game); surely questions must finally be asked about the people responsible for making these dreadful calls.
2) Pray to god they don't approach Dunemann (again, speak to people inside the game)
3) The really worrying thing: a) if we were dumb enough to overlook credible candidates first time around (Powell, Noble etc), what's the chances of us wising up now?
b) Why would any credible candidate be interested in working for a such a shambolic club?

They've basically said yeah we won't take action against you as long as you keep schtum about us.
We need to vote with our feet, boycott one of the friendlies or protest outside.

NO NO: we were warned that we had to improve and the SL authorities did say they reserved the right to end a SL licence at any point in the 3 years if they felt that the club was not inproving.
Re protests: do you want Wilky walking away because then we'll be in a more parlous state than Crusaders?
Oh well at least I now have a fresh excuse for continuing alcohol abuse.

| 2nd June:
It's a pretty prestigious position," Parish, 42, told BBC Radio Manchester.
"I made a few enquiries along with a number of other people and was lucky enough to get the job.
"It is a club with a lot of tradition and the future looks bright. There are a lot of young players and we have a fantastic new facility on the way.
18th August:
"I don't mind challenges, but you need to see change if you want to improve, you need to see change," he told BBC Radio Manchester.
"I know if I can get some change, I know we can get some improvements, but the club definitely needs to change."
"It's not just all about finances. It's about providing a club and an environment that people want to come to.
"The thing that has surprised me the most was that I wasn't expecting what I was coming to.
"If you talk to people from other clubs, and in the Super League in general, they've all got an opinion about Salford and unfortunately it's probably not the one it's not what we'd like to hear."
"At the end of the day, moving to the new stadium isn't going to fix the problems at Salford.
I've been brought here to do a job and I think I've been very honest and up front with them from day one, and the job that they want me to do, and the job I want to do, are probably not, at the moment, the same."
17th November: Resigns.
Can't really blame him can you?
