| I thought Salford were brilliant today, defensively superb, I thought your pack took you forward well not doing anything spectacular and Smith and Holdsworth directed you around the pitch really well. I think your completion rate must have something like 85% plus and in the conditions that is amazing.
I'd have given Holdsworth your MOM just purely for his outstanding kicking game, thoroughly deserved the win.
Well done.

Warrington must really love having Ben Thaler referee their games. Three of their five defeats this season have been with him officiating (!)

| A first rate performance. Tremendous defence, which is unlike some other performances. I felt that we wanted it more than they did. I've not been so excited at agame for years as I didn't think we had it in us.
Our forwards matched theirs and gave Smith and Holdsworth room to play.
I must single out Sean Gleeson who was tremendous in my opinion. Easily his best game for us and our biggest threat always came up the right centre channel.
And a moan about the ref . A 12-5 penalty count against us with the usual random penalties. What on earth was the decision in the first half when Warrington were attacking our try line and the ball went dead I think and the ref brought them back for a play the ball? What was that about?
A great win, particularly as our squad stayed up late on Friday to watch the Exiles game.

Oh I thought you were talking about our game at the willows on good friday for a minute then! Salford won "ugly" as vievers has said. Wire looked shattered, and the disappointing thing was that players who had taken no part in the exiles game looked just as tired as those who did. For most of your team to play 2 games in 3 days at this level is to much. The weather was a leveller too. Salford came to grind out a win and got it. One win doesn't give you the super league title, one loss doesn't take it from you either,so i'm not to bothered about the surprise result yesterday,i'm sure it'll make us stronger come play off time.

Unless of course it's the Grand Final at Old Trafford in October.
However, if Warrington can bounce back from yesterday's shocker, there's every chance that that's where they'll be competing in four months' time.

I hate to be pedantic (no, really I do!) but I always thought that "most" meant the majority or more than the rest. I think I'm right in saying that 6 played on Friday and then on Sunday.
I'm no mathmetician but I don't think 6 is most of 17, or even most of 13 if you only count the starting line up (especially when one is a winger and the other only had half a dozen touches of the ball in the Friday night game )
No problem with people citing the exiles game as a contributory factor in Sunday's result but when as little grace is shown as in the post above then I feel this "most players" claim needs to be nailed

| Chris Nero had more of an influence and did more running about on Friday night than either Myler or Bridge did...

Maybe it's because of his involvement on Friday that he gave the ball away that led to their first try!

| Enjoy yourselves..........to be honest thrashing you every time we met was getting a little boring anyway! I'm not over worried by one loss,it's the whole season that counts and i'm fairly certain that more silverware is on it's way to the HJ this season,so we'll just use the loss to make us stronger...........not that we need much strengthening.

35 years,and you?
So we didn't win by 60 at the willows?
Didnt' score 68 at murrayfield?
Didn't beat you by 30 at the HJ last year?
Didn't thrash you in cardiff in 2007?
Didn't win all 3 games last year?
Need I go on?

I think perhaps you should - your original post said "every time..." - clearly not true - I recall the HJ was it 4 years ago when we played you off the park
Clearly in recent years Wire have strengthened the team significantly and obviously are a serious force in UK RL - but if you really have been watching for 35 years, then YOU KNOW that you've had your crap times as well.
Beware the saying - How are the mighty fallen - it will come to you again
