Any odds for tonight PF? Thinking of throwing Salford in with my weekend accumulator. I'm guessing we'll be given an 8-10 point start on the handicap.

| I didn't think there could be any complains about Bentham tonight to be honest, did what he needed to do without any issues. Was a big call towards the end for the Quins penalty (would have been a match winner had Orr kicked the previous conversion attempt) but similarly the forward pass in Quins' last six was a brave shout as well.
Thought Salford looked the more threatening side, but it was a pretty stifling style of rugby.

| I think that's the worst I've seen Salford play and come out with a win . Quins were eager off the line and this accentuated our often pedestrian speed at which we meet the opposition in defence , this needs addressing ! No-one stood out for me , maybe Fitzy MOM ? But win is a win and the moral of tonights game...
" Wrap the ball up ! "

| I think the forward pass call at the end was to make up for the one missed for Quinns first try, where the pivot was more like a central receiver, and judging from the "Video shed" there were plenty more calls, plus the two knock ons he some how missed and had to be really persuaded by the touch judge that the try should be not allowed, even the Quinns players had stopped and gave themselves up.
The only talking point in the game was the ball getting stuck in the advertising board on top of the shed, sums up the game really, the team that wanted to lose it the most managed to win.

| Think it was a good result for us last night, there wasnt a stand out player for me everyone gave 100%, its the type of game we have usually lost in the past and we had enough in the tank physically and mentally to get over the line which for us is a surprise, there was still a bit of a wobble with 5 mins to go but mentally i think the players should see this a positive that they were able to regain their composure and steer the ship home.
The referee was bad for both sides even though random penality with 2 mins to go to the quins may have been the gamebreaker we had big phil ripping the ball out left right and centre throughout so there is two sides to every story.
Another point is just before halftime (our achelle heal in many ways) we have a brain fart and decide to kick it on the 1st tackle with 30 seconds to go diffusing the pressure on the quins, seems to me both in attack and defence we seem to panic in that important 5 mins of the game several games this season we have been punished around that time by players dropping off mentally and being half time aready in their heads.
I agree with Bigpev salford seem a times to be scared of winning this happens a lot in my opinion, just go out and give it a go so you dont die wondering what might have been.
End of the day im happy with general performance and im hoping that we can build on it now for the rest of the season and see where it takes us

| Poor game pretty much but obviously I'd put up with performances like that if we were picking up wins.
If there is a record for most offloads in a Super League game then Quins must have come close to it yesterday. Seemed at times like they were offloading about 3 times per set which became more and more infuriating as we just couldn't wrap up the ball carrying arm. Only once did someone take the initiative (think it was Adamson) and instead of going to tackle the man with two other players, jumped behind and intercepted the offload.
Dread to think what the score will be against Wigan next week if we put in another performance like that.

| I was right on line with the forward pass at the end of the game with Harlequins attacking, it was not even close, it was more like a rugby union pass it was that far forward, the player making the pass put is head in his hands, never in doubt! As said poor game but a win is a win.

I think it was because the quins were targeting our edges, defensivley we are a bit ropey at times and certain players seem to switch off so when are opponents get 2nd and 3rd faze ball our defence dont switch on react quick enough, its not a new thing mind J Smith was the chief of this last year but since his move in field he's in the action more so doesnt get caught as much imo

| A game last night where neither fans or the Salford players appeared to be ar$ed.
Our defence is still way below the expected standard, although in attack we still look lively.
Holdsworth again was the stand out performer, but he needs more like minded people around him.
As said if we play like that against Wigan expect a +60 point leathering.

Agreed. I said during the game last night that it had the feel of a friendly about it.
