We seem to be caught in a 'catch 22' situation. A lot of our problems tend to stem from the obvious lack of money, we definately need to keep our young talented players because of the ruling (someone else has already mentioned on this post) and that is that with each season that passes, the Super League teams need to be showing a greater number of players that have come thru the academy system. Having said that, to keep them they need to be paid the going rate that the other Big Clubs can offer them, otherwise our youth is going to be cherrypicked by the wealthier clubs, which brings us back to the problem of our long awaited new Stadium, this is hopefully going to be a major boost of income for us, ie bigger sponsorship deals, and bigger crowds. But every time I drive over Barton Bridge I get downhearted because I don't see anything happening and just how long as this been in the making?

If the Stadium takes too long, I think our young players will be long gone, and then where will we be when the licences are up for renewal?

I want to be upbeat about the club progressing to be challenging for a top 4 spot, but I just can't see a light at the end of the tunnel, and from what I've read on here it sounds like all of Alan Hunte and Jim Readers work is being undone as our talented hopes for the future are picked off one by one.

Pretty much how I see it happening if it is true - he has played at scrum half but we'd more than likely have him coming off the bench at hooker. They seem to regard him as a pretty solid player who still puts the effort in despite playing in a team that's losing plus he's still young as well so there'd be room for a bit of improvement.

Cas did the same after their first season back and got rid of quite a few of their players.

We'll need a fullback for starters, wilshire back on the wing, a prop forward who like cashmere makes great yards and has a fab offload

i'd probably keep nash because wouldn't he be classed as coming through our academy even though we got him from widnes?

Depends if he keeps on developing the way he has, he is bigger than he 1st was when came, bit more muscle and mental strength which also goes for Sidlow as he is also a big boy who can hopefully switch on to how big and strong he actually is.

Think that might be why they hasnt featured much end of last season and this season purley mental, if you are reading this Nash or Sidlow your both big enough and strong enough to win the contact in the tackle and burst the line.

You keep winning the contact both in attack and defence the opposition will not want to know after a while then its easy go out and express yourselves that all we ask.
