You know if this has nothing to do with wire we are paying our players who dont play far to much.
Six weeks living with andrew johns he'll learn a lot there.....and he might know how to play scrumhalf a little better to.

| How many times have we seen young players go to a so called bigger club and then fail miserably.
Great talent that he is people have to remember that we had to have players covering him in defence as this is very suspect.
He does tend to dissapear also when the going gets tough.
He has basically used Salford for bigger and better things.
Good luck to the lad, I enjoyed watching him last year and for 3 months of this season.
Should be interesting first match next year against Warrington,I would set Luke onto him

| i havent really got all this hype around myler, apart from tearing apart the welsh and the french which to be honest is not very hard, what has he done?
the ratchford lad you lot have seems a better prospect and i have been more impressed with him every time salford have played wigan, ratchford seems like he enjoys playing for salford whereas myler seems to be getting to big for his boots at the age of 19! which is not good for him.
personally id put tomkins eastmond and ratchford all above myler in terms of ability and what they are actually doing with that ability.

| I'd ignore Myler, He won't be first choice at Wire, especially after Saturday.
He isn't man enough to admit he wanted to move to a "bigger" club and blamed Offiah. If he had been I would personally have more time for him, now he is just a never has been.

Who says Myler is getting too big for his boots, the salford fans who've turned on him?
So Myler, who isn't a product of Salfords junior system, has opted for a different club after helping Salford out of the National Leagues.
Where's the crime?
He was the darling of the Willows early in the season but now he's been demonised because he sees his future as being elsewhere.
If he has signed for Warrington then who can blame him for spending time with the players and officials who will be his colleagues next year. Salford/ Shaun McRae, in an act of petulance, have seemingly banned him from first-team football which could sabotage Mylers international prospects for this years TNs.
Players move on-get over it!

Ah, but when a player is still playing for your club, you expect him to put 100% effort in on the pitch. He didn't. When we got hammered at Warrington, after most of the second half tries he was patting the Wire players on the back and congratulating them. He visibly stopped actually giving a sh*t. And, I believe, he became unpopular in the dressing room as well.
It's his own fault. If he'd just made his intentions clear and carried on putting in 100% for Salford rather than blaming it all on Offiah and easing off his performances then it wouldn't be an issue.

Why should we play him? We have two half backs who will be playing together next season and need to build a rapport. Hardly fair on Ratchford and Smith if someone who's [ip[/iissing off at the end of the season gets picked ahead of them. It's at the coach's discretion as to whether he plays or not - I'd also be seriously worried if Myler was being considered as first choice for England.

No need to shout!
Is this exclusively for Salford fans or is it open to rugby league fans in general?

No worries, No harm done.
Of course I don't see Myler every week but I have seen him play a number of games over the last two years and for young kid he has been exceptional after being thrown in the deep end.
Without knowing every detail about his performances I can tell you that from the outside looking in it seems as though he's being ostracised by the club for choosing to go elsewhere. Maybe it's just coincidence that his omission from the first team has coincided with his apparent signing for Warrington.
It doesn't hurt to have a dispassionate and objective view from an outsider added to the debate.

His omission from the first team coincided with a massive drop in his standards of performance. In fact, for a lot of Salford fans, he retained his place in the side for a good few weeks longer than his performances merited.

| The problem lies in the fact he is still under contract at Salford for another year after the current season, Salford offered him a contract when no one else would after Widnes went bust.
All most fans want is a little honesty, play out your contract giving of your best. Myler has like Robinson and Coley before him failed to do this.
David Hodgson on the other hand demonstrated how to conduct yourself in difficult circumstances. So did luke Dorn
