this morning i woke up a few beers later and a sore head , i realised i had been dreaming again ,this is the best ever , after beating batley in the next round , we played a team in blue ? i am not sure who but we won and then won the semi and made it to wembley , we even get to win 16 - 14 against the saints , this is where it turns weird brian and micheal are at the end of my bed singing matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs , whats this space

I am still floating on air after the win at Leeds and I cannot understand how some people appear unable to give any credit to the entire staff at the Willows.


The majority if not all the Leeds fans gave us a lot of credit for our performance lets take it in and ease off the sniping etc and for the first time in my memory a Leeds fan with his family actually tapped my granddaughter on her head and said"Well played Salford and well done to the Salford fans"

I assume that the coach was honest in his description of the fact that he was considering giving an 18 year old player a rest after how the coach felt that he looked after the Warrington game he wasn't going to drop him.

The same applies to any other player young or old who the coaching staff may feel are in need of a rest there were times last season whereby some fans wanted players resting/dropping and in some cases it happened on others it didn't.

At the Warrington game one "supporter"was bemoaning the fact that Fitzy had been dropped, he was out due to illness, possibly the coach had passed on the virus.

I respect the views of everyone on this forum(well almost) but please let's give the Mcrae/Simms topic a rest.

One final point the Salford support at home to Warrington and away to Leeds was fantastic, just imagine how it would sound with an 8000 home crowd and a couple of thousand away from home.

OSCR, I would give credit, but after listening to the interview by McRae after Leeds he says nothing has changed in training and he does not know why we are playing the way we are now.

so I am confused we were losing badly and he changes nothing which a good coach would to get to the bottom of it and we then start winning despite nothing being done
All I can think of is that it is in the hands of the players and they appear to run the show and play when they want which again is a very poor show.
But if they carry on playing like they did we will win more matches despite the coach.

lets be honist we don't really know, just co bomber didn't say he canged anything doesn't mean he didn't. And jsut coz the players played better doesn't mean it was just down to the players. but it may have been.
I didn't say anything on hear agains bomber but i'm not his bigest fan- however if we keep coming up woth the results he must be doin somet rite. If the payers could play this well of their own backs withour a coach there woudl be no coaches in SL!

i put on a prevous post that mcrae started the revival at hull fc stick with it there are alot of teams wish they were going as well as you are at the moment
