The talk is he doesn’t want to, but he has been reminded he has a contract and professional obligation to fulfil and therefore should play. Whether the coaching staff decide to leave him out with Weller coming back is another thing, however you’d hope we would field our strongest 17 regardless.

I think to guarantee a Super League spot you'd need 5 wins, particularly given that Hull KR and Widnes have both got off to winning starts. I would expect both of those sides to secure home wins this weekend against Halifax and Sheffield respectively too. If we can beat Leigh and then take two points from the remaining Championship fixtures (Bradford, Halifax and Sheffield) we should be OK going into the final two games against.

With regards to our team against Leigh, it seems like Watson will name the same team that beat Wakefield. Discipline will be key and without knowing the facts, I would suggest that last weekend was possibly our most disciplined performance of the season. We let it slip in the second half, but in the first half it was a near perfect performance. My only issue with this is that it probably means Evalds will be on the bench again.

I'm embarrassed to be a Leigh fan at times....... decimated??? We have 2 injuries to Hock and Hopkins, how is that decimated?

Yes he would. Sam is the best forward we have. I say that because he is so highly by everyone in the know within the club. He goes under the radar because of the type of player he is. Massive loss to Leigh.

2 players hardly a loss matey. Understand if 6 to 8 players missing. Brierly and McNally be worse losses. Hopkins has been on the bench at times and 1 player does not make a team. We won games with several players missing and to say he is the best forward is an opinion?

Immensely satisfying to rip Leigh to shreds in the way that we did, we certainly owed them one. Good performance all round asides from a 10 minute spell in the 2nd half. Not sure on the Reni MOTM award though??? He did well enough but it would have been either Scott Taylor or Rangi for me.
